The first request is that the two parties maintain their good relations no matter how the court’s verdict turns out. The second request asks that military officers and civil servants stationed on both sides of the Thai-Cambodian border cooperate to maintain peace and order.Thirdly, the two parties will discuss their land dispute via the Thai-Cambodian Joint Commission for Bilateral Cooperation (JC) and the Thai-Cambodian Joint Boundary Commission (JBC). Lastly, the ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries will be responsible for holding news conferences to help Thai and Cambodian people understand the situation.-- NNT 2013-10-
Popular Post Ricardo
Given Thailand's future-role, as the hub of ASEAN-logistics, isn't it time that all the border-crossings were opened 24/7, as indeed Swampy is ? Or will the high-speed trains have to queue at the border, waiting for 'opening-time', as they rush the freight to the ports ?

The Immigration Officers had no idea what I was talking about sooo went back to Kap Cong Immigration and inquired there(12km), they were very helpful as I normally find them, YES they were aware of this change opening hours of 6 am to 10 pm ( 7 days a week) but not now. They are saying January 1. And as an update Chome Chong Border Crossing is still allowing unlimited 15 day visa exempt entries. indyuk
The more open Thai borders are to their immediate neighbors the better for the economy and political stability because this premature act is meritorious in even in the face of the inevitable. Thailand will prosper as the baying of the Democrat isolationists dies down.

Meanwhile the Cambodian casino owners must be very pleased, I wonder where the kick-backs for this policy change went to, not in to the current administration surely. Thailand will prosper..... again. comedy genius. Edited October 30, 2013 by Thaddeus
