Well the Mayor of CM might want to contact the Governor and maybe come up with a plan to put a stop to this type of assult by the guilty parties. The article referenced left no doubt as to who the principals who were involved on both sides, were. Those who committed criminal activity should have arrest warrants issued and served by the Police.

If they take the intiative and put a stop to the thugs actions quickly, CM might escape what could prove to be a very unpleasant situation over the next few weeks. Thugs understand how intimdation works but seldomn have the where with all to be on the receiving end of same. Hit them hard, fast and convience them that worse will follow if they continue their wayward ways.

Really, they (anti-gov.protesters) should know better than to protest in this neck of the woods.....looking for a good ass-kicking they have come to the right town. Things are bound to get really ugly in the short term if that maniac Suthep doesn't call the dogs off and settle on an election.

Maybe you have not been keeping up on what is happening.

Suthep is trying to call the dogs off and set up for a fair election. If you think it is easy to call the dogs off why don't you call Thaksin and ask him to do it he is their trainer.

Yes they should know better than to protest in this neck of the woods. The dogs might get upset and burn down another fire engine.wai2.gif

By "fair election" of course you mean one in which the candidate with the most votes doesn't win.

No I mean the one with the most money to buy votes dosen't win.

Is that a problem for you?

We won't complicate it with ballot box's full of votes left unprotected over night. Or Village leaders making sure you vote the right way. Ot people that count the votes are neutral. Just keep it simple for you.wai2.gifwai2.gif

Typical red shirt display of their motto air heads unite.

BANGKOK: -- Anti-government protesters were harassed by red-shirt followers in Muang district of Chiang Mai Sunday as the former tried to campaign for the local people to support national reform to take place before the country go to the polls.

About 100 followers of the People’s Democratic Reform Committee first gathered in front of a Catholic church on Charoenrat road to distribute leaflets to passing motorists inviting them to join their campaign in support of national reform instead of going to the polls on February 2.

Later on the group marched along the Tha Pae road to the Sam Kasat monument. But however a group of red-shirt followers were already at the Nawarat bridge to block the protesters from passing through.

Policemen who were deployed at the scene then persuaded the anti-government protesters to change their route to the Nakhon Ping bridge to avoid the confrontation with the red shirts.

The protesters concurred and switched from marching to travelling in cars and motorcycles. But nevertheless they were again blocked by the red shirts who followed them to Soi Ton Bodi behind Wat Chaisriphum.

The red shirts reportedly hurled bottles and stones at the protesters’ convoy and assaulted some motorcycle-riding female protesters.

The unprovoked violence prompted the police to intervene to prevent the violence from worsening. The protesters also decided to change their protest venue from Wat Sam Kasat to Nong Hor shooting range to avoid confronting the red shirts.

They didn't learn any thiong when they tried that tactic at the university in Bangkok.

they didn't learn anything when their political masters tried the not listing to any one who didn't agree with them in the house. In short

They really mean it when they say air heads unite we have red shirts in all sizes even farong.wai2.gif

Jeez we were lucky they didn't burn another fire engine down.clap2.gif
