femi fan Posted April 17, 2014 Share Posted April 17, 2014 Flying to suvanabhumi from chiang mai next week, staying at ban phe first night, then to samet for a couple of nights. Main questions are: best way to get from the airport to ban phe? If taxi, rough idea of cost? any cheapo guest houses in ban phe that are recommended? any recommendations for a place to stay on the island, about 1000-1500 baht per night? It seems from my research that wong duen beach and tubtim beach are better ones for me. I don't want the really busy and noisy white sands beach, nor to go too far south. it seems i can get a boat to wong duen directly and perhaps there's a few choices to just drop and see which one looks good. Also, if there are any other tips about the island and getting there, posters are welcome to enlighten me! Many thanks in advance, there didn't seem to be a lot of stuff on samet on this forum.
