Chao Lao Beach
Anyone know where you can get coconut oil in 1l-4l bottles in Thailand for home use? The main super markets don't seem to stock it, including Makro,. The last time I looked, there was no shortage of coconuts in Thailand.

Issangeorge
I have seen it in one of the big three, can't remember which one, but it is hard to find. I got a 500ml bottle from my local Cat One, but when I went back the other day to restock they only had very small ones for ฿95 each. The time I saw litre bottles the price was competitive with extra virgin olive oil. SOMeTOM
I bought a small bottle at Big C, they also had a bigger size too. Just try a different branch if they don't stock it at the one you have checked already, also, don't trust any of the workers there as they are hopeless the most of the times, just look for it by yourself....

SOMeTOM
Is this oil good to cook? Thanks. Yes, as long as you enjoy that coconut's flavour/smell, then it's fine. http://wellnessmama.com/5734/101-uses-for-coconut-oil/
marko kok prong
Very good for a full body massage, though you generally have to use washing up liquid to get it off after,so er,a friend told me.
Kimagure
I also couldn't find it at the supermarkets or even health food/organic stores, except in tiny expensive bottles. Finally found one liter bottles at reasonable prices at some of the small 'shops' that set up tables inside the shopping centers, selling local Thai health-related natural products.
