ptownmarc
Myself and my girlfriend are doing our first visa run to penang next week and just wondering if anyone knows of any issues there regarding getting back by land crossing. We will be applying for a two month visa having nearly done three months. So staying there for a few days but have not booked accommodation or an agent for the visa. Any recommendation on an agent would be great but just looking for general feedback from anyone who was recently there for the same purpose. Many thanks Sent from my HTC One S using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
ubonjoe
How did you stay for the first 3 months? I need to know this before I can answer your question about re-entering the country after you get your visas, You will not have a problem getting your visas, The new Banana guest house has been mentioned as a good agent. ptownmarc
Originally got a two month visa from Thai consulate in Sydney, and extended it the month in Samui. Both Irish residents Sent from my HTC One S using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app
ubonjoe
Since you used a tourist visa for your first 3 months you will not have a problem re-entering. If you had used visa exempt entries it could be a problem.
ptownmarc
Yep was a tourist visa and no exemptions at all. The visa crowd in ko Tao told us the border was closed coming back and that only place to go was Laos hence why I'm on here. I read that runs happen daily from phuket so figured he was lying. Any idea how much all costs with banana guesthouse? Or any other info. Cheers mate Sent from my HTC One S using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

Tao Diver
If you are on Koh Tao there are some cheap flights to Penang from Samui to be had I am told. Nok Air. Maybe worth a look as it saves you a lot of time and stressful bus rides
