Thaivisa News
Pattaya, Chon Buri:- An unidentified Asian tourist’s body was found on a beach on Koh Larn Wednesday afternoon, police said. Pol Lt Chophaka Prueksachart, an officer on duty of Pattaya police station, was alerted at 2 pm that a body was found at Thong Lang beach of Koh Larn in Tambon Naklua in Bang Lamung district. Chophaka rushed to the scene on a speed boat with rescuers from Sawang Boribun Thammasathan Pattya Foundation. The body of a white Asian man was found at the spot. He appeared to be about 25 to 30 years old. He was wearing a white t-shirt with black dots and black trousers. He was wearing a silver bracelet on the right wrists and a Romanson watch on the left. He was carrying no identification card or any travel document. His body had no sign of bruises or being harmed. It was estimated that he had died one day or two days earlier. A small black backpack was found near the body but it was empty. Police kept it as evidence. Police believe the man was an Asian tourist who might drown somewhere else and his body might be washed ashore at the beach. Police sent the body for an autopsy at the Police Hospital. Chophaka said police will check with various hotels and resorts on the island and in Pattaya to check whether any tourist had gone missing. She urged anyone whose relative had gone missing to come to the Pattaya police station with his photo. Koh Larn is popular among Chinese tourists and two of them have drowned near the island over the weekend.
