If they actually enforce this law, it will impact many/most of the bars, 7-11's, and restaurant booze sales in Kamala. Black Cat's and north on the main road is safe. Both sides of the main road south of Black Cats' to Maydens might be doomed. All booze sales on the main beach road from the Tsunami Park to the beach will be affected.

How about your area?

All very strange- it's weird how some people's lives seem to revolve around bars and alcohol- even knowing which establishments are outside the zone.

Wake up- we live under a military Government, normal rules do not apply.

This thread is not about the 2 day Buddhist booze ban, it is about the restriction of sales within 300m of any school nation wide 24/7.

This thread is about impact on business. Yes, I know which establishments are affected because I drive past them several times a day.

The amendment outlaws selling alcohol within 300 meters of the "fence" of universities and colleges, both public and private. "" """""""""""Lower schools are not included in the ban.

The original proposed law only included uni's and such. The actual law just passed under article 44 includes all schools

As to how it will affect phuket? think not at all beyond odd place intentionally targeting uni/college kids as the law is pretty much unworkable so doubt they will even try to enforce it (beyond police trying to up tea money)

In a BKK newpaper, the Justice Minister says "The law is misunderstood and that new entertainment zones will be drawn which will take at least 180 days". Until then NO CHANGE

Oh.......OK.

Ummmm...........it'll be enforced just like all the other rules.
