phantomfiddler
A "wide" bomb found in the house of a construction worker. Maybe a WW11 bomb he dug up.... Maybe the policeman "Wai,ed" the bomb in the hope that a show of respect would make it more friendly
rondii
How would the Police know that a bomb is inside a house ? and why no information about how they magically happened to search a home and found a bomb. at least it should say an ''annonymous tip-off'. You are yet another classy TV poster whoo can't read. They said they received information...
davehowden
Normal load of Thai bullshit. Distraction, we are doing a great job but I have to take care for my Casino Project, blah blah blah. I think that with social media the BIB are very exposed, as are those above them, will you throw all dissenting voice in prison under LM . The day is coming, and soon I hope when normal Thais are able to express an opinion of the shambles that this country is in.

green job
I have said before, I am all for a bit of humour ( probably the worst poster on TV ) But you lot have no sense of humour at all. Its not funny, its childish. You all come out with so much crap Give the Thai authorities a chance,I am certain they are far further, and know more, than you realise.Much more than a load of old fuddy duddys, sitting behind a keyboard at home. Fat Haggis
and you'd also be sitting behind a keyboard at home too then? which makes you a what? better than everyone else with simple opinions, based on the comments from the Thai authorities themselves? Overcome
'It is a model of hand grenade we haven't seen before, and think it comes from North Korea. A nasty piece of hardware it raises the stakes from ball bearings or traditional fragmentation shrapnel to hundreds of vicious sharp cones making this the most lethal anti personnel device imaginable'
a99az
So the BIB tinker with bombs I thought it would be the professional arm of the Thai Army. God help us. Edited August 24, 2015 by a99az
allan michaud
Why is this not on the news or being reported by the other mob? This appears to be a grenade as that is the only other report today, is this story complete rubbish? <deleted>?
carter1882
I think this may be a wai-ed bomb. When the house owners saw it they were so freaked out that in true Thai cultural fashion they could only think to wai profusely to ward off evil intentions. Either that or it was just a weird bomb....
Catoni
A "wide" bomb found in the house of a construction worker. Maybe a WW11 bomb he dug up.... Yes.....who knows until we hear more? It wasn't that long ago that a World War II bomb exploded in Thailand. Killing a couple of people and destroying a building if I remember correctly. kiwikeith
Perhaps he meant a "wired" bomb? not a "wide" one I very tried - read bat news too mut They said the leads had gone cold - but this discovery would have been the best source of info that could get. Finger prints, witnesses, clothing, source of materials etc No, no forensic trace left here same erewan and different bomb this one wide

AleG
Thai Police Find Bomb In Busy Bangkok Road Detectives are still searching for the chief suspect behind last week's deadly blast, but are unsure if he is still in Thailand. BANGKOK: -- Thai police have found and deactivated a large bomb in Bangkok, a week after an explosion killed 20 people in the city. Kamthorn Aucharoen, commander of the police's explosive ordnance team, said the powerful explosive was found in Sukhumvit 81, one of the capital's busiest roads. "It was left in the house of a construction worker," he said. "We have deactivated the bomb and will destroy it." Police are still searching for the bomber responsible for last week's blast, but say they are unsure if the chief suspect is still in the country. Source: http://news.sky.com/story/1540723/thai-police-find-bomb-in-busy-bangkok-road -- skyNews 2015-08-24 The true story, with pictures and all, rather seems to be about an old grenade unearthedon a construction site in Sukhumvit 81! Here SkyNews seems to relay the same false information as in an AFP release from 09.20GMT today. AFP has been publishing false info before, during 'periods of tension' in Thailand, mostly in line with the biased views from Shins/PTP/UDD. Where did they get their 'inspiration' this time...? But from SkyNews, it is pretty unexpected for me! THIS is creating panick, and has a negative influence on (potential) tourists, as it seems to have been spread everywhere, I first read about it on the front page (just under the top title) from the Internet site from the N°1 newspaper in my EU country! 'Freedom of the press' for sure, but... As the saying goes Man is the only animal that trips over the same stone twice... or thrice, or every single time. Over and over again the same, initial press releases prove to be from mildly to wildly inaccurate, and people take them as being accurate even after subsequent reports set things straight. GAZZPA
I am also interested to know what they mean by a "wide bomb". Finding it in a house is significant if this is somehow related to the incident of last Monday. The house will certainly have a "paper trail"... who owns it, who rents it, who has been seen coming and going, who and what else is in the house, and lots of other factors that a competent investigation team could go to work on instead of hassling random farangs. Give them a chance, it will take a while for the investigation team to watch a whole load of "blue blood" episodes to get tips on how best to proceed. These American dramas go on for 20 episodes a season, thats a lot of hours.
NCC1701A
the house that the "wide" bomb was found in was immediately demolished and any possible shred of evidence was carried off to the landfill. everybody happy, ok?
