PassionDelivery
What exactly are pigs in blankets? Despite the curious name, pigs in blankets are simply sausages wrapped in bacon. The bacon gives a delicious rich salty flavour which contrasts nicely with whichever kind of sausage you choose. Our pigs in blankets use Sloane's US style streaky bacon wrapped around delicious chipolata sausages. They are so easy to cook, just put them in the oven at 190 degrees for 15-20 mins. As you would expect the pork is excellent quality and comes from grass fed happy pigs! Pigs in blankets. 500 grams. 290 baht. Gonzo the Face
Don't recognize that as pigs in blanket as I know them. What I know them to be is a mixture of pork. rice an seasoning , wrapped in a cabbage leave and cooked. Very popular in the US midwest. Sometimes called stuffed cabbage. Does anyone else know pigs in a blanket??? Edited February 16, 2016 by Gonzo the Face

FolkGuitar
The only ones I've ever known were small weiners wrapped in a dough wrapper. Very popular as hors d'oeuvres in middle class parties in the US http://imageshack.com/a/img923/7482/gtGfxI.jpg Edited February 16, 2016 by FolkGuitar

Chicog
All a pale imitation of the real thing. What you're talking about sound more like sausage rolls.
FolkGuitar
When doing a Google 'Image' search using the parameters 'Pigs in a blanket' it seems to show an pretty equal mix of both the bacon wrapped and dough wrapped varieties. Being a fair search engine, it does show one of Gonzo's stuffed cabbage rolls too. I had never heard of that variety before.
