jaylaai
Can anyone recommend a hotel, in the price range of 350-500 baht a night? Im staying there for 5 days and I need to rent a motorbike, how much can I expect to pay for renting a bike? How much is is it with taxi from the airport to city center? Is there a Central plaza shopping mall in Chiang Rai?
villagefarang
The only thing I can answer with any certainty is that there is a Central Plaza shopping mall in Chiang Rai. Since I live here I do not have any experience with the first three questions.

pomchop
Orchids guest house is a good spot...500 baht a night...excellent location 20 meters off of Jed Yod road...motorbike rentals nearby. Orchids is nearly always full and not sure if they will even make a reservation. They speak good english so give them a call is good idea.....google them to see reviews etc... i have had a lot of friends stay there and everybody liked it a lot... not super fancy but clean, well run, free wifi in office, free coffee, helpful english speaking staff and excellent location... 053 718 8361
Bardeh
Expect to pay around 200 baht a day for an automatic scooter. Around Jed Yod Road there are plenty of small guesthouses and hotels where you can find a room within your budget. The taxi will be around 200-300 baht most likely, as long as you can get the driver to put the meter on. This shouldn't be too difficult, taxi drivers here aren't too pushy really. Chiang Rai immigration is very quiet, the staff there are friendly and helpful. Enjoy your stay!
pomchop
When you exit the airport do not pay any attention to guys that have a badge around their neck that says taxi meter....the REAL taxi meters are straight out the exit in the edge of the parking lot and use meter. To town probably less than 200 baht.

kicking
Another question. Anyone know about a school that needs teacher's? Fluent in English and Chinese. "Teacher's" or "Teachers"? You might want to edit that. Edited February 29, 2016 by kicking
