ubonjoe
He has a 30 day visa exempt entry not a tourist visa. There is no banning for a one day overstay unless caught with it and not sure they would really ban somebody for it. I flying from either airport in Bangkok they will not charge a fine for one day of overstay.
Eclipse
No problem unless he gets stopped on the way to the airport. Even then it is not sure what will happen.
elviajero
As long as he reaches the airport he will be ok. No fine, no ban. If he is caught on overstay by the police he could be arrested and sent through the deportation process and banned. All unlikely but possible.
