Muggi1968
HiI extended my visa not so long time ago and will apply for Thai citizenship or PR in December.... Local immigration told me, that it would be very difficulty to apply/get Thai citizenship next year .They told me that total quota for all countries together has been lowered to 50 persons. They tell me that I should apply for PR instead..(I already know that Immigration has nothing to do with citizenship....) The local immigration is very nice and trust worthy but it was just before April 1... soooooo Anybody hear about this ??? (Or maybe just a misunderstanding in communication)
ubonjoe
There is no quota for citizenship. Perhaps they confused the quota for PR with citizenship.
Garnethoyes
So where do you apply for Thai citizenship then if it is not immigration ? Where do you get all required information ?

You apply at a Special Brand Police office. You can find info here in this topic: dbrenn's story of Thai citizenship application
