canthai55
Bought a Platinum in 2007. 12,000 baht. Still running. Speedo broke after less than 100km. Voltage regulator failed after 2 years - Honda Wave fit. BIL put on a knobby rear and still driving it.

ktm jeff
canthai55 , i replaced brake master cylinder piston and seals on my Platinum PX 250 ( not worn , just making a modification ) , Honda parts were a direct replacement. Seems both Honda and Platinum use the same supplier , many other engine / gearbox and electrical parts are interchangeable. Cant speak for Harleys , but the Itallian bikes ive owned , Aprillia , Benelli and Ducati , have never required me to use a bus or breakdwn truck. Need to add these to the Honda line. The KTM is spot-on HA HA.

Familyonthemove
..... and I'm guessing the lady next to BMW man is a care home nurse? I also hear the latest accessories available for the GS 1200 are an electronic incontinence detector in the seat and a bifocal windshield.

papa al
fotm: "..... and I'm guessing the lady next to BMW man is a care home nurse? " I was in Champagne A-Go-Go the other afternoon. A van brought in a bunch of very-smiling old guys from some assisted-living place. Monthly outing. Off-topic maybe, but very heartwarming.
