What’s in a Thai name? And why they can teach us so much

I was driving around in rural Isaan with some female Thai colleagues. We passed through a village called, "Young Pussy Village" (Baan Nong He).

They thought it was hilarious.

That's not what it means.  Baan Nong He means "He Pond Village" (different "nong", different "he").  And they were probably laughing because it's part of the name of a well-known comedy movie from 2010, which was set in that village.

Go into the corner and facepalm yourself.
