The Department of Consular Affairs will launch the new office on Dec. 9 and it will be inside the MRT station, making it even more convenient. Previously, when Thais wanted to get a passport, they had to trek out to east Bangkok’s Srinakarin Road passport office or to the equally annoying massive government complex on Chaeng Wattana Road.
