Tim1980
Hi,I'm an Ex-Commissioned service man having served in Army for 8 years. Now I'm working in a private firm since I resigned from my duty close to 12 years a go. I would like to visit my friend and his family in CA. Does my service with Army will cause my visa to be rejected. Thanks
tonray
I guess it depends on what Army you served in. As long as the country you served is not an enemy of the US it should not affect your application at all.

tonray
Visa applications are handled on a case by case basis. I don't believe being an ex serviceman will dis qualify you. If you have any questions you can ask at the US embassy in Bangkok. They will know the answer.
