Just wondering if everyone here who submitted their passports got an e-mail from the embassy both when it arrived and when it got sent out? Tracking shows that mine arrived 2 weeks ago, but I never got an e-mail from the embassy saying they received it, so wondering if this is normal or not.
I have a question about a failed delivery attempt from Thailandpost due to not being there while the delivery was being attempted. Will Thailandpost attempt to redeliver the package the next day or do I have to call them to ask them to redeliver.
Quite a strange situation because I live in a condo here in BKK and they always drop it off at the office, which was open today, so not sure what happened.
Good question. I just don't know how the rules have changed since pre-covid times. It's really hard for me to find the correction information, but Penang, Malaysia did change theirs to 2 days too, so I'm thinking the same goes for Vientiane now.
Does anybody here know if the processing time at the Vientiane Consulate is still next day service, or has it been changed to 2 days like they say on their website?
I thought so too before, but apparently COVID extensions and The Emergency Decree are not 100% related. Covid extensions have officially expired as of 24-AUG-2022.
Just wondering if anybody here has gone to Vientiane to obtain a SETV Thai Tourist Visa at the consulate? With all the current COVID situation still ongoing just wondering if there were any issues that may consider this a bad option at the moment.
The state of emergency decree has been extended to September 30th, so anyone who applies on that date or a day before should be good until the end of November. https://thethaiger.com/coronavirus/emergency-decree-extended-by-cabinet-until-end-of-september
I went today (22-JULY-2022) and they didn't ask me for any flight ticket going out. I've been here before the pandemic started and never left. Wondering if I got lucky?
