  1. Oh, understood. I used to eat at the one near Nana in Bangkok when, a very long time ago, I was a regular there. I've eaten at the one inside the Klang Foodland here in Pattaya. The English breakfast is a crime on a plate. The one inside Terminal 21 I'd never been to so made the effort. It's some distance from where I live but I'm often awake in the wee small hours and the traffic's not bad so decided to try it out. It was totally deserted, clean, well lit and well looked after. Probably the best Took Lae Dee (Cheap and Good) I've been to.
  2. Been doing it for years. Basically, Riveroxaban, when it was prohibitively expensive here, about 80 THB per 20 mg pill, a fraction of that on Indiamart and a huge choice of suppliers. I always use the same one, with whom I've built up a trusting relationship. She knows how to ship to Thailand without any hassle, I don't know how she does it, but she does charge a bit extra for postage, so maybe that's how it works. She can use WhatsApp, and Wise and now I see Thailand is about to sign a cross border payment scheme with India (hopefully not scam) so I'm looking forward to using PromptPay soon! But all my advice comes with a caveat, of YMMV. I've never had a problem with customs, my stuff always gets shipped to the Cxxxxxxxk post office where I pick it up. She writes good English too. Of course there are other caveats, like fake drugs or worse. But my hearts still ticking and I've mentioned it to heart specialists in several private hospitals here. I'm not sure they don't source at least some of their normally hugely overpriced meds there too.
  3. I've used samuiforsale a lot in my fifteen years of property "ownership" here. An excellent site with excellent sample forms, available free as partial documents, and for a pretty modest fee for full download. Even an online consultation service. Just my 2ยข worth.
  4. Quite. It would show up in a due diligence search on the property, along with any other charges, liens, encumbrances, title checks etc etc. That's why the buyer's lawyer here ensured I had released all my interest and claim in the property via the usufruct before he ok'd the purchase by his client. It doesn't cost anything extra at the land office, but your lawyer will probably include the extra clauses in the sales contract in their fees.
  5. Neeranam, didn't you obtain Thai citizenship via the quota channel? Sorry if I'm being nosey.
  6. I wasn't aware marrying a Thai entitled you to Thai citizenship. But I know of one commentator on this forum who obtained Thai citizenship using a route available in rare circumstances, involving quite a lengthy process of living and working here for at least 3 years I believe, speaking Thai, etc etc.
  7. Kin kep sounds like usufruct. I signed a usufruct agreement with my Thai daughter on a property we have just sold. Or she just sold, rather. I had to sign an understanding releasing all claim in the property in the process. But my name did get entered onto the chanote, but obviously not as an owner of any sort. Entering into the agreement and having it recorded on the chanote didn't cost us anything as I recall.
  8. If you don't know Foodland I guess it doesn't make much sense.
  9. I didn't know it was possible to get confused by this post! Well, there you go. It was only FYI. Never mind.
  10. Yes, peculiar. If he has Thai citizenship then he's Thai. But, does he speak Thai? Suggest a visit to a Thai lawyer. Or the land office.
  11. You have Thai citizenship? How? Then they won't issue you a yellow tabian baan as it is only for foreigners.
  12. No, the Foodland cafe. Ground floor, Gate 5.

    T21 Foodland

Finally got round to visiting this place at 3am. Obviously no problem parking. Come out on bike parking level M and it's across the road, up the ramp and in. AC cafeteria. Decent menu, not a lot dearer than street food. Drinkable coffee @ 42 THB. Sweets for munchies like banana fritters and ice cream, and usual Thai dishes, untried. A grade up from the Klang branch. Usual shopping offerings. Plus deli. Handy for the sleepless in Soi 6 brigade.
  14. People just ignore the system and there are no police to enforce it. Initially there were and they were issuing tickets. But now....? Nothing. Annoying to have to go all the way round to get my 99 THB special at Cheap Charlie's. Same on the main one way system. 1am or whenever always motorbikes travelling the wrong way and the occasional car. But that's pretty par for the course here.
  15. "As of March 2023, Thailand has about 3 million civil servants, 1.75 million of whom are government officials, while 1.24 million are employees of state enterprises, universities, hospitals, public organisations, or are temporary staffers." Hence the spread.
