  1. Hey all.

I know most of the bar girl tricks. Sick (buffalo/parent/sister) send me money while you work in Australia i not work in bar etc. But i have been invited by the boss to his home for dinner drinks partying etc which i can do being young @ 21.

That's not the worry. He seems like a good bloke and i got on really well with him,but am i putting myself at risk? i am not sure what to think.

(Apologies for the bad grammar using my mobile).

Please don't flame me i have no intention to send her money after i leave.

  2. Hi all.

Last time I visited thailand, I went to CM, BKK, Phuket and Koh Lanta.

    I liked them all.

I liked being able to go to the markets every couple of nights. Enjoyed the night life and the people there.

I liked the whole thailand feel.

but my problem was that I was squashing so many places into such a small amount of time

The next plan is to stay in one place for 21 days, that has it all.

    What would you personally recommend?

    Thanks :D

  3. Hi all. I am looking at going to thailand soon, but there is a place that I keep seeing but can not find a name! It's basically, an island with like, wooden structures all around it (kinda small) and tonnes of fishing boats and such. I'd love to experience that. I just don't know where to find such an island. So basic, I know, but I guess the guys over there may have some idea? Cheers :)

  4. How can you say people are dirty or cheap just because they dont stay in a star rated hotel .The back packer my friend is the one who is responsible for you even knowing the place exists . They are the first to go new places which are later built up with big hotels by which point the place has usually lost the charm that lured people there in the first place .

Oh yeah, sorry mate. I meant dirt cheap, as in you know stereotypical backpackers, I want the experience as a backpacker but I do have money, It shall be good fun!

and thanks for all the good suggestions, I will take them all into consideration, I'm pretty easy so it's good

  5. Hi there, I'm planning to be in thailand in november specifically chiang mai. I'm just wondering if you have any recommendations from experience on backpackers hostels or such in chiang mai? Cheers

  6. see I'm still undecided, if the prices differences arent that different between patong / chalong I may just end up in patong. I was just under the impression that it's a bit further out and may be a bit cheaper

  7. heh, nice picture. I was told some condo/apartments have security guards but that picture is a worry.

that is the prices I was really told, I believe it must be able the standard then

  8. Hi all,

I've made a few posts here and always had a handful of great responses, hence why I keep coming back! heh :)

    But yeah, to the point.

I think in late april I will be moving over to phuket for a job.

I'm single, only require basics, not huge amount of space and what not.

Would like to live in a decent condo, away from the women of the night and less then diserables.

I plan to live in Chalong hopefully, as I will be working in Kata/Patong areas. From what I've seen of chalong, it seems to be generally a little more calm and a nice area in general.

But one thing I am honestly worried about is Security. I had an occurance when I was a toddler where I witnessed and was in the same room as a buglar, and since I am just paranoid about such things.

I'm not old (19) and will be moving over on a work permit and do plan to come home safely and not without my goods.

I want to know, what kind of security can you get with a condo?

and generally how much would it cost? like, even if you didnt know chalong as such, but are familar with phuket prices it would be helpful.

    Thankyou

  9. Hi all,

I have contacted the Perth Thai Consulate, and the only way I am able to get a thai visa non immigrant is based on visiting family/friends.

They require a Passport copy of someone in thailand.

Only thing is, I don't actually have any friends/family in thailand.

So now they are checking the legitimacy of these requests it seems.

sucks for me, as it seems I would have to get an ED visa, or do the tourist visa thing.
