High end of the market will always have takers. The mid and bottom end is over loaded. Do you see any significant real changes in the EEC? I work and live in Chonburi and only thing to note is the opening of the 7 toll road has created a lot of problems for retail businesses that are now very effectively cut off from the highway. With that, perhaps some people that lived midway between Sriracha and Pattaya will move closer to Pattaya or less likley Sriracha to get easier access to the toll gates?

Jonas Salk chose not to patent his 1955 polio vaccine, making it more affordable for the millions of people who needed it.
Because of this decision, he missed out on over seven billion U.S. dollars. If only more scientists and makers of pharmaceuticals were like Jonas Salk.

I have 20mg morphine tablets prescribed to me so in my home and carry in my office bag here in Thailand. There has never been an issue with controlling the use of this. I expect canabis oil extract, if it works for chronic severe back pain, would be even less risk, and probably better for my health.

So many governments apparently getting it so wrong for so long.
Too late for me. With high blood pressure to deal with won't be smoking anything at all ever again.
It comes in edible and topical solution form. The topical solutions do not induce any high, but reduce pain.

You don't need the arrival part. The departure part has the date you arrived stamped on it. If you lost the departure part, my only experience was finding this was lost on departure. The immigration officer just asked me to redo another departure card and he took that then as good as the lost one.

It's the going for a few drinks, not more than you would on a working holiday night, and then having 5 hours where you end with a somehow sob
Quoteer "what happened" event, and you are told, or not what happened. Get's scary then a few days later when you still can't recall anything.

A yoga retreat in Thailand has a lot of appeal to bored westerners!

Risk to leave unchecked to say the least! My dad used to say, "laughter is the best medicine" until a few of us died of rabies!

I see the pinch too now. 405bht 750ml bottles of kiwi blanc, same label but no grape variety label on the front. On the back says "sav blanc grapes with added alcohol" This is the same liquid as in the boxes, but just much higher priced by volume. Welcome to the new normal!

I fully agree, get the tourists to pay for the extra risk so local tourism businesses don't have to pay the price to improve safety conditions. The GPS tracker, also a great idea around the ankle. It can come with an alarm for when tourists are in places they should not be too.

I wonder if you can still take you own alcohol to a restaurant etc. Most restaurants around here will not sell alcohol under the restrictions but they will allow you to bring your own and they will serve it for you.
Not very nice to put the proprietor under unnecessary pressure. If the cops show up and you are sitting there with your Leo, there could be 9/10 of the law. Enough to put others at risk for you. Stay home and have a party!

If your workpermit is through the BOI you can use the priority lanes regardless of flight class. Generally speaking, I can get throught inbound and outbound immigration/customs in less than 10 minutes. I have never experienced hoardes of Chinese. Having said that, inbound the BOI priority is not the same as the Biz Class priority, and you can't just buy a pass for that. Mind you, even in outbound I have never been faced with a queue of more than half a dozen people.
The uniformed handlers recently told me I need a separate letter from the BOI for every flight to go through the priority line. That was not needed for the 5 years before then when to/fro.

Is there any truth in that using a Thai name addressee attracts less or no customs duty? I believe that was said on an old thread about this topic.

Interesting thread, I live in Thailand but have 2 rubber tree plots near Davao in the Philippines, or my wife does anyway. One is 2 hectares the other 3 hectares. I will read this entire thread later this evening when I get the time. Would like to compare notes if it makes sense.

I feel for them in my heart, We would have done this a different method, perhaps it would of cost more money, but nobody would have less than 2 back up breathing air supplies. Too late, and my heart goes out to this effort to save all of them within this technical ability.

Human endurance has absolute limits, the rescuers, best be working on 12/12 shifts, the boys don't have that luxury. Positive energy as much as we can collectively send to their effort. Please all focus and if such a thing exists, give what you can.
