  1. Looks like you are in the wrong here. It is your wife's boss, so be polite. Her chances of promotion just went out of the window it seems.
  2. My bank has the option to advise them when I am travelling internationally, when and where. Perhaps you have this option also inside your online banking account. Also important to ensure the contact phone is correct for the travel period, so the security team can contact you.
  3. You have to go to Darwin first and spend two weeks in quarantine. (I think you can only go via SG tranfer as Thai is only flying to Sydny as of now)
  4. Looking at the Thailand requirements it was easier for my wife to come to Australia for Xmas, so that is what we are planning. By the time she is ready to return to Thailand I may be able to accompany her but with reduced restrictions. Yesterday she went to the shop for a passport photo and it was a two hour wait, today got done first thing in the morning.
  5. You know it is home quarantine in Sydney 14 days or until a negative COVID-19 test is received after 7 days for full vaxed people? Did you check you can leave in this period? I am trying to work out all the requirements for SYDBKKSYD travel and you look to be cutting it fine, but have a look at what I compiled so far.
  6. The travel insurance requirement of $50,000 USD is not just for Covid, it is Health Insurance in the more general sense.
  7. I am not sure why I know this, but the iron used to be plugged into the light socket to do the ironing. So what you are saying makes sense.
  8. 3 metres of the bridge is designated for pedestrians to walk to and from the 10 km to Koh Chang. They can't walk there now, what on earth makes anyone think they are going to start. Exactly...
  9. A Chairman will now be known as the Chairer, if we follow that logic, no doubt?
  10. It is standard for airlines to request to see the credit card upon check in if this was an on line ticket purchase, due to fraud avoidance. But if the ticket is booked via a travel agent then they don't ask. In any case if booked online, the airline has a form to cover this eventuality and you can get a pre-approval for this way of paying. Go search the airline website and look for the form to download and proceed from there and for sure they will have a option to cover what you are asking.
  11. Wife did it on her own and whatever was needed she arranged it. She didn't say much, so it can't have been a big deal. I find it is best not to get too involved in these things and just let them sort it out.
  12. There is nothing to learn here and to be polite they pull the numbers out of their hat. (or you could replace hat with another word).
