Not helpful as I did that we don't all need to be spoon feed. But I'm informed they have moved and guess what Google isn't aware of that.
Well apparently you do, it's the second spot on google "KK immigration moving" with references to Thai Visa and the thread with all the info. Apologies for trying to help, I wasn't aware they moved. ???? ????

When this TM30 business started getting into the media I was surprised the law states the owner(Thai) will be fined. I thought yeah, right. Thats not going to happen.
I changed my visa in Muk, went back to my home province, reported to immi the next day. All ok. Three hours later landlord calls me to come to immi. I go and immi explains I did not notify soon enough and the owner was getting fined 1600 baht. Here we go. Then the IO said he and the landlord discussed it and figured I should pay! Exactly what I guessed would happen. They put you on the spot. The law clearly says the owner pays... but in real life good luck.
I pointed out that I returned to my province the previous day at 17:00 so it was still not 24 hours. The whole thing was dropped. But it showed me what I anticipated. Thais not going to fine Thai if a farang can pay.
In your case, I'd have paid half as mentioned. TIT-

Why do they need the full colour presentation board? I'd love to have their signage contract,,,

Seriously, you guys think Isaan is just poor people and whores. Obviously you live sheltered lives and don't get out and about much. Sure there is poverty there, but there are many many rich folks as well.

From what I have read they will owe you severance unless you missed more than 3 consecutive days without notifying, most other cases severance is paid. I have always found the labour dept here quite helpful.

Does this also hold for teachers? I know some guys who had to stop teaching at 60.
I was talking about it with the local head of Social Services and he thinks teachers (like myself) will be able to postpone retirement. I hope so, it fills my days and my wallet. (small wallet)

I actually liked the article and the message. Do away with the uniforms. Its not just one uniform. Mondays shorts and white shirts, Tuesday and Thursday school sports clothes, Wednesday Boy Scout uniforms, Fridays (in the North) Lanna clothing. This is for elementary school. Thats a huge amount of money for some parents.
University I worked at same kinda stuff, but the school also sold and required special shirts for sports day, goodbye seniors, etc. My uni students living on Mama noodles used to bitch about it.
If the teachers still want to play dress up on Mondays and Wednesdays let them...

Khon Kaen- Cancelled WP myself, cancelled extension same morning at immi, went to Laos, no overstay.
Nan- Left town on Friday asked the office girl to cancel everything on Monday, went to Muk, IO thought it was kinda sneaky but let me cross no overstay.
Ubon- 6 months ago. Tried to cancel by crossing the Nan border into Laos, no go, tried to cancel in Nan city Labour dept, was told to return to Ubon. Full day at labour office, couldn't cancel it myself had to get the school to help. Finish Labour dept at 3;30, went to immi cancelled extension. Next morning Muk, had 500 ready for a one day overstay, they never asked.

Theft charge against Briton ‘justified’ but dropped to let him fly home
Does that mean he didn't pay any fine? I see him as guilty but if he truly paid that high of a fine it is ridiculous.

^^ exactly, I live in nan and the slopes are way too steep for machinery. Planted by hand. harvested by hand. I don't know a lot about silage but back home when I saw the rows of it fermenting (?) in plastic rows it was for onsite use, don't know if would be feasible to ship/sell.
^ Fruit trees, tea, coffee, etc would be much better for air quality as well as curbing erosion on the hillsides.

Get a 60 day tourist visa at home. get a cheap onward flight to Laos or nearby for roughly day 50. Come here, get a job. Schools as a rule are slow getting all the paperwork together, if you only have a 30 day on arrival you'll be getting stressed. Day 50 take all your documents to a consulate in a nearby country, get your non B, return back to your job and start enjoying the trouble free life of a teacher in Thailand. ???? Just my opinion, but thats how I'd tackle it

Confusing. Nothing in Canadian news about it that I saw.
He has admitted to the crime. -- So he must be in custody of the RCMP
And what he says ^ No way Canada just said "yeah we'll send him back" that quickly

My province is extremely strict about the TM30s. Go out of town one night have to come back and report. Change of visa, come back and report. Twice they have scared the hell out of the poor lady renting me my house, She will not rent to a foreigner again.
My friend moved into a townhouse owned by a nice old army general. Later another farang friend rented another unit. The general asked my friends if they knew anymore foreigners for another unit as he was quite happy renting to foreigners, rent on time, no parties, no hassle. Then immi started getting strict about the TM30s, he had to go down to immi a few times to straighten things out. He has now said he will never rent to farang again.
This fear of renting to foreigners will increase with increased fines and rules. Soon it will be like Burma or China where we will only be able to stay in certified places.
Sidenote: I went to immi on a Monday morning told them I have been to Laos and came back with a new NonB. They said the landlord MUST come in and redo the TM30 as I had a change of status. At 1:00 pm I had frantic calls from the landlord to meet at immi. I go there straighten things out. They are going to fine her 1600 Baht. Then immigration looks at me and says, its not really her fault it is my fault so I should pay. I disagreed and also told them I was back in the city 5:00PM on Sunday, I reported on Monday so there should be no fine. It was dropped. The fine is supposed to be for the homeowner but I can see in many cases it will be farang who pays. Its a pretty messed up system.

The Heidelberg press in the picture needs to be running to clean the rollers, its the normal way to do it worldwide. he definitely did something he shouldn't though, such as got a rag too close to the spinning rollers.

I used to use CIMB to clear my US tax return cheque and it took about one month and the cost was THB 1,000 - be aware that some Thai banks will not deal with any American onshore banks in any way, UOB being one.
Thanks, I'll talk to the bank here see what they say. Cheers

I am curious about this, would like to write a cheque for about 35,000 CDN $. What kind of fees were incurred? Time isn't a big concern, saving money is.

Everyday I pass the U turn at Central four times. Usually twice a day someone tries to kill me.
Ban Tabo is really a decent spot except for access. Always doing u-turns...

Not as easy but, a good sign shop would have the 3M tape they use for road signs. I used it previously on a bicycle and it was highly reflective, and tough as nails.

Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiang Mai and other Thai cities to bury the cables.
Thats not the problem, its the shoddy workmanship. Many cities have overhead wires, but the job is done properly.
