I wouldn't buy open products except for fruits and veg. And those tongs in the meat section are disgusting even before Covid. When I come home from shopping I fill the sink with soapy water and wash everything, including my car keys. Its actually pretty easy and just about everything is in tin or plastic. .......... I started doing this after I saw people picking up items looking at them and putting them back, which I do as well sometimes.

Unless she came from a Corona free country you should be insisting your daughter quarantines. Whether the govt says so or not. Social responsibility.

could be they are getting bought up quickly as they are an excellent food to stock up on if you have no fridge or a small one.

Thanks marcusb. So, no problems getting on the bus to cross the bridge after passing through Thai Immigration, right? Can I buy a ticket after Thai Immigration?
Yup, on your left going past immi is a booth selling the bus tickets.

Wow, two hours! Those poor policemen working such long hours.

Didn't know that, Jackdd. Thanks for the info. Guess I'll leave it somewhere in Mukdahan for the few days. Any parking recommendations?
On. the mukdahan side just before the border crossing there is parking for cars and bikes. The bike parking is by a little shop, and is very close to passport control. They charge about 50-100 per day. I have used it many times and is an easy way to do the crossing. Check what time the bus leaves Muk and try to be at the border at that time, then you can just jump on the bus after exiting Thailand.

Motorcycles under 50cc do not need to be registered or taxed. I see them all the time, some look like small Scoopys, no plates. So I doubt any kind of Ebike needs registration.

My local always refused to make copies, so back on the bike, find a copy shop and then head back to immi. I was thrilled when they started offering copies for 5-10 baht each.
In Khon Kaen years ago they had a Xerox and a tip container, no set price. Most people threw in 20 baht. -

Still have no idea what 'ram raiding' is? Care to elaborate for us foreigners?
I believe someone rams into a shop window/door with a car and then quickly grab what they can and go.

I agree, it shows a lot of hospitality, like the free shoe exchange outside of the temples.

1. √'d already. Seems to stack up and rest of bike is sweet condition.
Is it even possible to mess with those E-odometers?
I've had my 390 for 2.5 years, only 22,000 km as I have a couple other bikes. I'm very happy with it, basically trouble free. Not impressed with Ubon KTM but thats common.
The 200- 390s 2016, 2017 ? had troubles with displays they fog up. Many many were replaced. When they replaced mine at 3500 km they didn't know how to reset the odometer so I was back to zero. That may have happened to the bike you're mentioning.
At 13000km I put Metzlers on mine and am happy with them, good tires, not too expensive-

This is what gets me. I am always on my motorbike, so I always have my backpack on. I haven't used store bags for a couple years. When I empty my backpack out at home I am dismayed by all the plastic on the table.
Plastic bags are a start but we need to get the manufacturers cutting out the packaging or using plastic alternatives.

Odd for ink on a degree to run from being wet, unless you mean the signatures. Ink used in offset printing and laser printing don't run, usually just inkjet ink runs.

Just saw a pic of a old co-worker on Facebook. Had three coupons in her hand and a grocery cart full of food. She went 40 km from home to the next city and province. I really doubt this is going to stimulate much. People in Ubon buy groceries in Sisaket, people in Sisaket buy in Ubon.
I imagine it's the project being discussed.

I would go to the local labour office even if it is inconvenient. They'll straighten everything out, with or without your employer.
-
Thai labour laws state if an employee misses three consecutive days without notice they can be terminated. Surely this would fall into that category.
I wanted to be terminated from my last job so that is what I did. Day four my boss sent a letter saying I was dismissed and I thanked her.

The youngest i have heard of is 22-23 once they've finished their uni courses and graduated. Starting salaries now for teachers with uni grads are 15k, even in the provinces.
The university teachers with masters were starting at 15,000 at the unis I worked at previously. No idea about high schools or big city schools but in our small primary school out in the sticks some teachers are as low as 7500. No idea how they do it.

Uhmm
He got his Visa in Laos for school "A" School "A" has not applied for WP yet. He wants to now change schools to school "B"
Can he use the Non-b he has, which he attained from paperwork for school "A" to work and get a WP for school "B"
Is school "A" supposed to contact immigration and inform them when he moves to school "B"
Thank you,I hope that is more clear
-
We have a new teacher who returned from Laos with his Non-b. He has checked into immigration and all is fine. The work permit has not been applied for yet. He wishes to change schools and I am wondering about the status of his visa.
Can he keep his non-b and apply for a work permit at the new school.
Should his visa be somehow cancelled when he quits at our school (current school)
(my school is upset as they spent a lot of money on his Laos trip etc)
Thanks for any info.
