  1. Until the mandatory insurance scam is dropped, he can go shove it.
  2. 20,000 die on the roads each year, not counting the many thousands who die in hospital from road accident injuries. (They have a strange way of counting here.) No Thai has ever been nominated for a Nobel Prize, let alone win one. Prayut's people have done nothing except insult foreigners since coming to power. From which platform to they espouse such elitist aspirations?
  3. Are you are Thai Govt 'damage control' agent? I ask because your pathetic comment does not display much intelligence. Then again, stupid people rarely employ anyone of caliber. (Sorry, this is an English language forum, but maybe you would like me to translate into Thai for you?)
  4. I understand. ???? ('Woke' is the pandemic the world really needs to address.)
  5. The Arab countries? Just curious. I was astounded when I was in Nana by accident three years ago (I walk a lot and was passing through to another part of town.)
  6. As Hitler galvanised the hatred of Jews throughout the Reich, so did Prayut Chan-o-cha and his henchmen galvanise the dislike and suspicion of foreigners. Is it any wonder that dual pricing is widely accepted as fair play. It is based on a rocksolid foundation of disrespect and now endorced by the courts as "good for the country".
  7. They need foreign expertise. You know ... us "dirty people."
  8. The most sensible alternative is to drop it. It is an obstacle. Government 'obstacles' are similar to taxes. Once implemented, they are difficult to get rid of. They can be decreased (rarely) or increased, (usually). But it takes a vulcanic change in government to remove them. The COE was a control messure, a feature of police states. This new thing is also a control measure, with one advantage that it takes away the power of embassies to impose their own, personal bias to grant or deny. Now it's to be an algorithm doing the work. If it's not subject to human interference, it should be as simple as checking in luggage at modern airports, such as Tullamarine, Melbourne, Australia. So if the intention is indeed honourable, and this is actually about streamlining the entry process, all should go as planned. However, concept is one thing, but of course, any equipment is only as good as the designer and the people who manufacture it. If they really are smart enough to come up with tracking devices, and spying on Facebook accounts, what could possibly go wrong? ????
  9. ????True indeed. The neuropsychologists told me years ago, following concussion sustained in a road accident, that I may never fully recover. But I am pleased with my progress. Short-term memory loss and a total mess with spelling has made life a real challenge. However, I am now back into brushing up on all the languages I speak. The spelling in the Germanic languages gets mixed up, due to similarities. Never mind. My occasional stumble gives smarta****s like yourself the opportunity to kick someone when they are down, which no doubt is what you live for. Enjoy. (Into my 70's now, and guess what: I don't care.)
  10. So, the province Nakhon Sawan, where my home is located, is a "Red zone" area. Does this mean I can return but there is some sort of curfew? Or I can't return? .. I guess it's not the same as a "Red light" area, because that is, by default, the entire country.
  11. Translation of the Thai text in the image: ไร้ความสามารถ - incompetant
  12. True. It is in Phrayut's own interests to exert control on the people, and deter foreigners from travelling to Thailand. But for every intelligent, worldly Thai person, there are several who are not.
  13. Exactly... in the early days of this circus, quoting someone here, or maybe elsewhere: "A few people die as a result of a flu-like virus, so they shut the country down. 20,000+ die annually on the roads and they do nothing."
  14. Bangkok is in that list. But does not have a blue, highlighted sandbox link. Are there other alternatives within each of the Blue Zone provinces? Thanks
  15. Ok the Philippines is not on the list, and this is nothing to do with health risks. The cat was let out of the bag a week or so ago, the countries "of low economic value" are not included. This being prejudice and nothing else. However, is the understanding that I (an Australian) can still travel and enter but will because of that prejudice, have to do 10 days quarantine? (AstraZeneca x 2 completed a month or so ago.) My choiceis to head down to Melbourne for 21 days then return to Thailand from there, and hopefully fewer restrictions by then. There's the cost of that extra flight, but also avoudinf the risk of being infected while in Thai quarantine. Ohh.. Another question: My home in Thailand is Nakhon Sawan province. I can't find anywhere whether it will be open to me or not. My friends in my town say there is no restriction when travelling to and from Bangkok, but of course I'm a big white boogy man. Thanks. K.
  16. "... hard to believe they can be as bad". Indeed. I think one would have to work hard to make it worse. But it's easy for the Thai government to be this "bad" because all this nonsense is founded on an absence of respect.
  17. Stay one night where we can be contacted? Is he aware of the existence of mobile phones? ???? They are obviously just making this **** up from day to day. It's long since past being funny. It's pathetic.
