  1. Its the same very year, they talk about road safety before Songkran and then it gets forgotten Why don't the RTP have more active policing of roads and not just the static police check points I live in Khon Kaen and I know exactly where the police set up the daily check points with speed cameras, so if you are passing these area you just slow down until you pass So every one know where they can speed and not to speed, Many time there are check points in the town center and you see bike rider, riding the opposite direction as they see the check point and turn around to avoid the police, why don't the police have some one positioned to get all that turn around All this would mean more work of the police but it would contribute to reducing the road carnage and why not start with road safety in schools and teach the kid from an early age, this is done in many other countries, why not Thailand
  2. What kind of idiot play Russian Roulette in the first place I am sure it not the weed that is the protagonist here, it is the stupidity of the individual. The question that should be asked is why was there a gun in the apartment in the first place. Stupid is as stupid does. Or maybe Mr. J has some question to answer. ????
  3. I have a few extra pound, but I also know a few people that when you look at them you would say that they are under weight, but they can eat like no tomorrow I have no idea where they put all the food. so if restaurant give discount based on peoples size, then i am sure the restaurant will lose out big time.
  4. I wonder how many people thought it was real money and tried to exchange for Thai Baht........🤑🤑
  5. RIP young fella and condolences to his friends and family I have been riding bike in Thailand for 15 year, i only ride a big bike and have toured many areas in Thailand. I don't own a scooter and when i do ride my bike, no matter how far i am riding i always use a helmet and proper riding gear, yes it is a hassle to get all the gear on for a small ride, but i want to protect myself. I am very aware to the drivers on the road and anticipate them to do stupid things and they often do. I have seen in many tourist areas idiots renting scooter and ever the Yamaha 700cc scooter, riding like they have no care for their life and others life, I was in Phuket in January was shocked as to how many were speeding through traffic with only shorts and flip flops, they are just an accident waiting to happen The should be strict rule for the hiring of any kind of bike from scooter to big bike other wise the carnage will continue to happen
  6. She know what side her bread is buttered on..........😂🤑
  7. I use a Shoei neotec 2 modular helmet, the fit is great and ventilation is good. low wind noise It cost a little more then other brands, but i want to protect what's inside, I am on my second one as i had an accident and smacked the road surface very hard with the helmet, didn't get any injuries myself but i have never used that helmet again, just went and got another one, consumable item.
  8. We would never know what the so called victim Mr. Andresen said to the taxi driver, as he had only booked an ride for 1km to his accommodation. Maybe the taxi driver wanted more money for the fare as it was only 1km away and wanted to compensated for the early morning pick up, we will never know what was said in the car from both parties, it will always be conflicting stores But why did Mr. Andresen not just walk away and not retaliate, and what was said for the driver to react in the way he did. we will never know, so why all the bashing on Phuket In all honestly, i don't like Phuket that much myself, having lived there for 4 year many years ago, its not an area of Thailand that i enjoy, but for you 1 or 2 week tourists its fine and as the quality of tourist coming now don't seem to have the same respect for the locals or it might be the locals don't have the same respect for the tourists. and with the advent of more social media and CCTV, incidents like this get more exposure then years past. If you go to Phuket enjoy yourself and be respectful to the locals and i am sure you will get the same respect back.
  9. What an absolute loser, but what i don't understand, all hotels that I have stayed in Thailand take the room charges before you check in and if it is a physical key they take a deposit for the key....
  10. How much did she ask for her sick buffalo 🐃 And make sure when you transfer all your money to Thailand make sure you transfer it to her account, I'm sure she is trust worthy, she sound genuine and a keeper...🥰😍🤑🤑
  11. The picture posted in the article for sure has been photoshopped, because the puppet strings have been remove, and you see the other Muppet in the picture as well, who is ruling the country, its not hard to see.,🤓
  12. I have never allowed anyone to sit in the back of my pickup, if it is more then 5 people which are seated in the pickup, then some miss out on going or they find other transport.
  13. When i got my D-Max pickup i told my wife and her family that if they don't wear a seat belt in the pickup we will not be going anywhere, they have learnt fast and now many years later whenever they now get into any car they all wear seat belts,.. I little education can work if you push the point...
  14. Have you thought of using DHL or Fedex to send your new passport as the Canada Post is striking, I am sure these companies are still working taking advantage of the strike
  15. I do a lot of riding in Thailand, I only ride with full gear, I have a Shoei helmet which are not cheap, riding jack and pant with armor in the elbow, knees, back and riding boots. I ride a 1000cc touring bike, i only ride it on long trips, and when i arrive at my destination i park the bike at my nights accommodation and if i go out i will either walk or take a taxi. I never take the bike out for small rides On the occasion that i have stayed in Chiang Mai i will ride my bike but i still wear my entire gear when i ride to visit some friend in different areas of CM Where i live i live in Khon Kaen i don't own a scooter and if i want to some where around town i will drive my car, When i am out touring i am very aware of other vehicles on the road and anticipate that some drive will do any crazy things, so far in 15 years of riding i have only come off my bike once, which was my own fault and i damaged my bike enough that i could not ride it and luckily i did not get injured, but my helmet took a huge hit to the side and i have never used that helmet again. so for my it full gear or i don't ride
