It goes to the topic. Why would anyone care if you are as old or older than your mother in law. It is only another way of saying you are older than your wife. Since the majority of posters are the same age as their significant other it is another opportunity to make fun of the minority of posters who are much older than their partners. The majority likes to mock the minority. This is the case in race, creed, color and national origin. It is a very old human trait. In Muslim countries they mock Christians and in Christian countries they mock Muslims. On Thai visa young guys with age appropriate wives mock old guys with young wives.

In Thailand as in much of Asia the family is of paramount importance and if the family is taken care of the methods are less scrutinized.

A 60 year old man can marry twin 16 year old women as long as he takes care of the family.

This fact of life does not set well with the values of the majority of posters, hence the volume of threads attempting to demonize old guys with younger women.

Thailand makes it easy for old men to stay here and support young women and spend money. Thailand makes it difficult for young men to do the same thing. So who has the last laugh?

I think you are right about the majority knocking the minority but i dont think its entirely true about young guys demonizing old guys with young girls,i would class myself as a young guy(37) and if i see a old guy with a young girl i think nice one.As long as she is old enough to know what she is doing(if there is grass on the wicket,let's play cricket!) and the parents are ok with it i dont see a problem infact i think an older guy would takecare of a girl better.I think the only problem is gonna be when she wants a kid with you.

my advice would be give as much info as possible,when you write the letter make it a long one in as much detail as possible,if you have been to thailand then it helps if you have photos together and reciepts from hotels,restaurants etc,tell them everywhere you went together and make sure her letter matches up with yours.Like the guy said before she has to have good reason to go back,if she works and gets her wage paid into a bank account and she can get a letter from her employers i dont think you will have a problem.

But i would say you need to give more info on here about your relationship with her to get the best advise.

I think where the difference really lies is that Arsenal, with their lovely new stadium have attracted an enormous interest from corporate bodies who wish to buy season tickets to share out week to week for the pleasure of clients. They are also a very attractive proposition for the "i quite enjoy football" hertfordshire brigade. if this means biggest supported then ofcourse Arsenal are.

I think thats a fair point also if i think if i were a nuetral and i lived near london i would definetely go watch arsenal or tottenham because they play good football and have the star players who everyone wants to see and i think leeds could have sold 60,000 for the game just because arsenal were in town after seeing how quick the 34,000 tickets went.By the way arsenal did had the south stand behind the goal which holds 5,500 but had the option of the south east corner aswell which holds 1,500 but they didnt manage to sell the full 5,500.

To be honest though i dont think leeds have the best support,we probably have 19,000 hardcore supporters which followed leeds in league 1 but i would say we have terrific away support and fill our away application everytime weather that is at arsenal or southend.One thing that does bother me though is we are a one club city and should be commanding bigger attendances at home but i do think that has something to do with greedy bates charging us 34 quid to get in(same in league 1),still compare us to the likes of newcastle who were getting 40,000 no problem in the championship and we are getting 25,000.

Also i think a team with great support is portsmouth,we played them yesterday infront of full house ok it was only 20,000 but they are only a small town really and i remember in the eighties when we were in the old league division 2 them bringing a few thousand up to leeds even more than the likes of sheffield united.

I can kill two birds with one stone here,there is a major problem on the roads with accidents(as shown on another post) which must cost the hospitals millions per year,especially when guys are going in with serious head injuries resuting from not wearing a crash helmet on a motorbike.I say get some hard hitting advertisements on tv about awareness and what happens to loved ones when speeding,not wearing a helmet and drink driving on the roads.Also clamp down on the guys not wearing crash helmets,if you get stopped the 1st time it is 500bt the second time is a 6 month ban and 2000bt fine,just doing these 2 things alone would save the hospitals, make the roads a little safer and the people more aware.

This Governor of Expressways sounds like he is really dedicated to his work. What ever work would be required for a man with this title. If the expressways do not have high accident rates and and built to International standard, why change the posted speed limit?
