I came at 23 years old and that was 15 years ago I did about 6 years on overstay on and off at different points, back then there was no blacklisting, 2 education visas, loads of tourists visas and exemptions all extended, and changed my passport for a fresh one a couple times, and often enter via Laos land border in a car with an agent that hands over a 200 baht tip in return for no questions I worked online doing content writing / editing remotely for companies back home

I flew from the UK to Laos in January (via transit in China), and entered Thailand via land border from Laos, in January I extended that stamp, then did one border run in a van to Cambodia, then extended that, so I can stay until early May So i've only done one 'in out' trip in a van. But it seems it's not about two 'in out' trips in a van, it's two visa exempt entries by land, ok thanks for the info

Thanks yeah she's changed her mind to it being any hotel that is 'มาตรฐาน' Which seems to mean one that gives you a booking confirmation and is legal, rather than a few hundred baht place. Something to show at the airport

My Burmese partner wants me to book an alternative quarantine hotel for her mother who is flying in next week, September 2023 Have they brought that rule back in for the new variant or for Myanmar arrivals? When I flew in from the UK a few months ago I didn't need that type of booking Thanks

Ok thanks. Yeah currently in a hotel here Visa service pattaya have just quoted me 4500 on Line to do it, might do that as I saw the other thread saying the queue in the office is really long lately

Can Maneerat travel do 30 day extensions of a visa exemption? Or any other agent recommendations for that? Do I need to ask my hotel for a TM30? thanks Edit: Maneerat said no on Line

I went yesterday to BKK immigration, the new one at IT square Laksi, and they wouldn't let me extend without a TM30, they said it's a new rule since January.

Many Thais hate the masks as much as many farangs but feel they have to wear it to not 'look dirty' in the eyes of judgmental people, that's what I'm hearing from the wife and those of friends here.

Big C On Nut told the wife the kids couldn't go in the soft play slides without masks today. After having told me previously it would be allowed as of July 1st Skytrain staff and mall staff still saying to wear masks as well
