  1. The OP has the sense to know that the Nigerians are a bunch of 3rd rate con artist, but they are still at it. To bad but there are still a bunch of suckers out there.

"the" Nigerians is a misnomer. not all of the 150 million Nigerians are con artists! <_< more than a quarter century ago my wife and my [not so] humble self spent 4½ beautiful years in Nigeria.

Naam, , where in Nigeria did you spend those beautiful years?

There is 419eater.org and also there is Nigeriavillagesquare.com not all Nigerian web activities are fraudulent. Though for some, all the contacts they have had have been about some idle milions for the taking.

there is one German company called Julius Berger, they have been defrauding the Nigerian state for decades.

Siemens was just found complicit and heavily fined for fraudulent activities in Nigeria.

If you get to Niger Delta, the recent oil spill in America will look like child's play. Same culprits lead by BP/Shell.

Since the British decided to plant the leadership of 150 million people in the hands of muslim fulani nomads for selfish interests and to spite the more cosmopolitan educated open societies of the south, the chaos of the whole nation and people, just inevitable.

  2. OP has not told the whole story.

Thai women dont just get the knickers in a knot with someone 600kms away just for fun.

I must have featured in a few of those types of gossip rag, but no one bothered to tell me anyways.

Internet can be a good thing. No?

Lucky she has not been on the late night TV shows with black goggles on, describing how bait women and how sloppy the sex was.

  3. Give it to those Military police soliciting donation people that issue receipts with no carbon copy.

    I mean just the satangs.

Meanwhile 7 eleven will gladly take it off you. Or Family Mart.

Or keep it and use it to pay your traffic tickets at your nearest sonoh.

  4. Go to bumrungrad and check in and hand the nurses your passport to go to 3rd floor immigration desk and get mentally insane extension.

Just avoid all your ex girlfriends and ex wives before your airport trip and dont say much about this to anyone in RL, and lastly, dont carry that passport with expired visa with you about, its better not have to have it on until you are headed home.

It makes them mad to see you with it, as they might feel that you think the ones that stopped are too dumb to notice.

  5. I found this on a Japanese web site:

    Dioscorea alata L. (Dioscoreaceae)

Vernacular name:(Thai) man-sao (central), man thu (southern)

Common name: greater yam (English), ten-months yam (English), daisho (Japanese)

    Pacific person,

Thanks for the link. I looked at various references and all seemed to be consistent with the description and the local name. So a yam it is! Interestingly its very prolific and can grow to 60kgs! The wife and M.I.L. haven't found this mother lode yet but I await the arrival of the big one. Our patch of jungle is proving interesting. Yesterday a very large and healthy male monkey emerged. First one I've seen in 8 years being here.

We do cultivate yam in Africa. what you describe is yam tubers, the vines are a dead give away.

Dont work, you wont be able to eat the ones that would make u sick as it will taste very acidic or caustic, once well cooked you can eat with different types of side dishes.

Is there anyways you can throw a barrow full my way?

  6. I put about 19500 baht in colonyinvest and i got about 60000 baht in a bout 3 months, well I just took it as beer money, i was so sad when they stopped paying.

I was tempted to deposit a large sum but I did nt, I looked at their website, and the only thought that came to my mind was either they were minting the cash themselves or stealing from Madoff to make me happy.

  7. I know of a very decent bloke I met when i first docked on these shores, he ran his own freight company, with some whiny Filpin/Chinese/Thai lady old enough to be his mother.

This guy is one of the most kindest and gentle soul, clean, religious, educated, soft spoken. Then there was a burglary at their work place, the old wench set up her own shop leaving the guy to pay off people who lost cash and stuff at the old office, a loan shark got involved and then the nice guy got married had three kids, then went flat broke, the Thai Mrs left (without the kids).

Then after a long pause, he was found wandering, dazed/lost, around some markets in Minburi eating what he can scavenge. He went thin but still tucked his shirt in, so a rescue was organised and he was put on a plane home, the young ones put in some home or sort here in bKk.

The brain has a way of packing up when you need it most.

  8. I get a bitter taste in my mouth when I hear about something like this. Mainly because there's a lot of pain involved when someone makes this decision.

Eric Steel has made a documentary about suicides, and in this documentary he compares the people who makes the leap from the bridge with people who jumped off WTC when it was on fire; according to Eric the pain is what is causing people to jump, in the WTC case the heat was melting the skin on the people; jumping was a better solution. In the case of the persons jumping off the golden gate it was a different pain, but probably seen as a better solution.

This is what is so disturbing with people who commit suicide; they leave in agony. Hopefully this guy gets a better life next time. I hope life can offer something better than whatever you had this time.

    R.I.P

Not all people who commit suicide "leave in agony"...there are humane ways to do it and unfortunately almost always illegal in many countries leaving many to opt for rather painful methods. For those rich enough and with their faculties intact, there are countries that allow "assisted suicide" which allow civilised people to exit (at their choice) in a dignified manner.

Those countries will not let you be assisted in killing yourself, if you can still do 50 push ups or be able to participate in wine tasting events.
