  1. Can he just do the reporting online. Or am i getting confused about this reporting online.

He could use the online reporting but the application would probably not be approved because it will be his first report and the local immigration office will have no record of any previous reports.

I was told that, so I never bothered with the online report.

I will give it a try for the next 90 days report (end October, beginning November)

  2. My home address is in Pattaya, my home for many years. I will take my rental contract with me when going to immigration Jomtien, just in case.

I just asked about time frame originally due to 30-31 are Buddha days, but now here it seems my easy retirement visa is going to be a problem ???

Maybe I should just go back to tourist visa and visa runs or even ED-visa again, at least I understood that part.

  3. I got my very first NON-O-Retirment almost 3 months ago (May 07), so in total I was told 15 months due to first time.

I was told to report before August 03 to Immigration for the 3 monthly thing, which should be free.

Nobody every told me I should leave the country and do a visa run crap again. I am actually happy I am 50 now (happy being older) and can do the retirement visa, so I would not have to leave the country/visa-runs/ED-visa anymore and now you are saying I still have to go on a visa run?

  4. Hi all,

I got my first retirement almost 3 months ago and I need to go August 03 (passport stamp) for my very ever first 3 months report.

30-31 are Buddha holidays (assume Immigration is closed) and then weekend, so Monday August 03 is actually my first day I could go. Same day my report is due.

Is there any time frame (overstay, delay) to the 3 monthly report?

What would happen if I would go on August 04 or later?

Does retirement still have overstay fees or is it more lenient?

Pattaya, Jomtien Soi 5 Immigration Office

    Thanks, Ron

  5. To me the law or rule whatever it is, is absurd.

Its punishing the shops not the kids. All it means is kids will have to walk further to get booze.

Enough of these nonconstructive posts. Seems to pop up every 5 posts or so on every thread.

Yes people we know Thai school teens can walk, drive and drink further than 300m.

Now quite, the government does not know that. Don't ruin it for the teens whom will drink anyway, whatever happens, OR ELSE ....

It will become 3000m or even 30km

  6. Does anybody know the website, email, phone number of that Office/Agency in Thailand that takes complaints and helps, when shops or other business, do not provide the honesty or service needed.

I have seen it here on TV mentioned a few times, but can not find it, now I might need it.

Previous threads on TV mentioned that just the threat of going to them solved a problem (because smaller businesses are not tax paying)

I would like to contact them for an issue I have.

Also does you or your girlfriend/wife know what the agency is called in Thai.

I would love to know the Thai name and Thai writing for that agency.

    Thank you, Ron

  7. At this time for the past 1.5 years he already just puts 500-600 baht in his pocket every month, while my electric bill is 1300-1500 baht, but government wise should be 700+ baht.

Now up from 8 to 12, same he pockets 1200-1500 baht on my low electric bill government wise 700--800 baht (no air or anything). Just 1 fan, computer (plus extra), fridge and 1 light

  8. I just get get hand written bills.

    Monthly rent xxxx

Monthly water (actually wants to go from 20 to 25 baht next month, but OK, 30-40 baht a month more

Electric always 8 baht per KW (or whatever is the right letters), now wants 12 baht.

I have in my mind already when next bill comes, I will just re-calculate the electric from 12 to 8 baht and give him that money total of 8 baht electric+rent+ water.

My question is: "WHAT CAN HE DO" (legally, not mafia)

  9. COMPLY or not, you think you are a VIP, sorry BIGGER Thai VIP's.

Stop thinking you as a farang are important, just because you spend 1-2-3 thousand baht, MAYBE

You are in nightclubs where the HI(lo)SO rich Thais go. You do not stand a chance.

You, OP, are a DOG, in these establishment, just like me and any other farang.

  10. I have a running contract with my current Thai "landlord" he just takes care and the real owner does NOT want to get involved.

I am about 1.5 years in a 3 years contract.

This month the monthly bill came with a message in Thai, that starting 31 July 2558 the electric will go from 8 baht (government bill maybe 4.5 baht) to 12 baht.

The caretaker already puts in his own pocket 500-600 baht monthly now because I pay 8 baht per KW electric, not government price.

I will 100% refuse the 12 baht next months bill. Why I would put an extra 600-700 baht in his pocket.

Currently government electric would be 4.5 baht, I pay 8 now and he wants 12 baht.

I have a 3 year contract and think the electric 8 baht is on there I tried to scan and show here but, just did not work.

I have old bills that show 8 baht.

I have been reading the Thai government wanted to put the electric prices up, but not 4 baht per KW.

I am a very principal man. He does NOTHING for any of the current extra money. Just a lazy Thai drunk.

  11. Hi,

I have changed my home address, same city, so same immigration office Pattaya.

I need to do my 90 days report/extention beginning next month.

I know I could do this online (first time will try), but I also have moved.

Can I do the address change also with the online report or should I go to immigration in this case.

What papers would I need? I have a rental contract in Thai.

    Thanks, Ron
