Updating this after my experience at CW this morning. Transfer of stamp officer did not ask for tm30. I submitted the list of required docs along with copies of my book bank and the stamps were transferred painlessly. No need for a bank statement. Then I had to do my 90-day report and that’s where the TM30 requirement came up. I got my 90 day notification receipt with a remark on it in red to update my tm30. When I asked the officer whether I could do my next 90-day online she said not until I’ve updated the tm30. Luckily I had the original lease and my landlord’s id and property document in my google drive so I managed to get my tm 30 also updated at counter B.

Thanks for the reply. i don’t need an extension - making the dreaded trip to CW only for the 90-day report and to get stamps transferred to the new passport. I don’t have that TM entry card thingie ( no. 8 in docs required list ) that they stopped during COVID. I’m guessing that will not pose any problem.

I just got my new passport. My 90-day report is due so am planning a visit to CW to get my visa stamps transferred to the new passport and do the in person 90 day report. Will photocopies of my updated bank book be sufficient, or are they also asking for a statement from the bank like I submit during my annual extension application? Will I also need to update my TM30? many thanks in advance.

I keep hearing about this doc check stage. Last time I went for my extension ( Jan 2025 ), I got my queue number, and then went straight to the IO when it was my turn. Where and when does this mythical doc check happen?

I get a 12 months statement - the Immigration Officer wants to see that you met the financial requirements for the entire period of your permission to stay. As I said, bangkok bank takes 3-5 days to give that. No idea about other banks.

Thanks. It would be my retirement extension stamp. Was there last week to get my extension. Showed up at 6.30am, was queue #216, which became queue # 14 at the L counter. Was out by 10am. So I guess I’ll have to do that once I get my new passport. Unfortunately I can’t time that with any other business at CW.

At CW, Bangkok, which counter for transfer of visa extension? Will I have to strategize that trip the same way as my annual extension in order to not spend all day waiting?

I did make an atm withdrawal and then updated my book bank at the automated passbook update machine so that I’d have my bookbank updated to the day.

bank letter and statement depends on your bank. Bangkok Bank for example takes 3-5 days for the statement. The letter gets issued instantly. I was there yesterday for my extension. Got there at 6.30am and was out by 10. Just fyi

I just got my extension at chaengwattana. Can confirm, you can do it yourself. No need for an agent. you can apply up to one month before your permission to stay expires. I think you will need a tm30. The documents required were as follows: - Passport (first page + visa page + last entry stamp page) + departure card (TM.6) + 90 days report receipt; - TM.30 receipt; - Updated lease agreement + landlord documents (ID Card + Title deed or SPA to show the landlord name); - Photos of you and condo (whole condo building + you standing in front of the condo building + you standing with the condo name label + you standing with the condo no. + you sit on the sofa in living room + you standing or sitting in the kitchen + you sitting in the bed room + every area inside condo) - Original bank book updated on the visa submission date and copy and sign; - Bank Statement 1 year certified by bank officer - Confirmation letter from the bank certified by bank officer issue within 3 days.
