I use an atm alot to draw for my daily expences . But I have two accounts I keep the bulk of my money in the account that does not have an atm card and transfer it at the bank. Your atm card could have been scaned about anywhere I have also read where there are devices now that can read the card while its still in your wallet so whats safe anymore who knows ....

Yes, people have heart attacks without taking Viagra. Most people taking Viagra don't have heart attacks unless they have preexisting conditions indicating they shouldn't take Viagra. They refer to a dildo in his room, in his drawer, not in his personal cavity. A colorful find and irrelevant to the case. The viagra is neither here nor there as only a medical examination can show if he even had taken any Viagra before his death. Much less OVERDOSING on them which they shamelessly suggest he has done even before knowing he even took a SMALL dose of Viagra. Amazingly bad journalism. Almost shocking. Ohh, again, all you folks came here a couple of months or years ago need to judge on Thai life!? If you don't like it go HOME NOW. They used to drive around with Salaengs before you're born and they still do. Most of them can't afford a car because 90% of you guys (so called Expats) complain everyday, all the time, how expensive this or that is. You are a poor bunch of Kee-Neeouws, actually not worth to talk about. You built or want to build your house, villa but you don't want to pay for it.. That's too expensive, that's not good enough etc. etc. Rural people here have to get on with their lives, send their children to school and sell their goods from their Salaeng (BBQ chicken, Som Tamm, Malako, Khai Thod, Guwee Thieaow, MaMuang etc etc) to make up their daily life. And of course they can't buy a car NOW for 500k+ THB when they make 300-500 THB a day. If you want to complain, set up a Fund to support all Salaeng Drivers to be able to get a car for the price of a Salaeng. But do not interfere in their own life in their own country! If you want to do so, you are at the wrong place and should go back where you come from. And please if you decide keep up staying here: SHUT UP and MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS.. Thank you

Who are these farangs or "so called expats" to tell us smart Thai people what to do? One time I strapped my 3 week old daughter to the gas tank of my Hello Kitty scooter with bungee cords, and this "so called expat" came up to me and told me that it wasn't safe. I let him have it. I said "How dare you come to my country with your large genitals and Western education, and act like you know it all! Why you no go back to your country?! My family strap baby to gas tank of Hello Kitty scooter before you born! One time my mom (not really my mom, but some lady that my real mom dumped me off with when I was four years old) was driving with me sitting on the handlebars of her scooter and she stopped suddenly. I flew off and hit my head. But am I dead? No! Because my mom she make offering to road ghost before she go drive with me. You don't even know about road ghost do you? Why you not go back to your own country with your Jenifer Love Hewitt and your Tom Hanks and leave us Thai people alone. You belive in Darwinian selection and you say that all of us stupid Thais will eventually die off in road accident--not true! Because we don't believe in Darwinian selection. The routes are well defined and documented. Bus stops are clearly marked, like in developed world. Those little changes make it official.

When I lived there...there were old open air buses running around the south end of the island all day. Are they still going? And ,for sure, the locals know how to avoid the idiot TukTuks and some hotels will 'quietly' help you with that. '_'

The vast majority of violent crimes in thailand remain thai on thai. This was unfortunate, as a foreigner was in the path of a stray bullet. But, the fact remains that many young thai men love killing eachother. They think it is fun, and they will do it for the slightest insult. It is a fact that most thai men under the age of 25 have the emotional development of a 13 year old girl. So, instead of stratching eachothers eyes out, they simply shoot eachother. And, if they are courageous enough to engage in a simple fistfight to save their adolescent girl honor, they will bring 8 friends along, instead of fighting like a man, which most of them are not. Although it sounds insulting, I have never in my life run into a less impressive group of people, than thai men under 25. Anywhere. What does that mean for the future of this lovely country, and it's people?

That's debatable. As Quentin Crisp said about not cleaning your apartment EVER, it can only get so dirty. Whatever the reputation there always seem to be some national groups happy to swamp the joint.

Since the OP has brought Thailand and the USA into the same post, it bears pointing out that Thaksin and Obama are cut from the same cloth, although Thaksin would probably resent the comparison more than Obama. And they aren't alone. Tom Haden and Jane Fonda also come from the same fabric of vote buying as the aforementioned two, to wit, The People;s Republic of Santa Monica.

It is good politics to pander to the impoverished masses because there are millions more of them than there are productive individuals that eschew entitlements as demeaning to their self esteem and responsibility to their communities and the world. Legislating entitlements to buy votes is the cheapest campaign strategy, not only because it is paid for with other people's money, but also because pandering to the deadbeats of the world returns a greater number of votes per campaign dollar spent than the costs involved in marketting an issue driven campaign. It is a lot easier to teach dogs to jump up and down in anticipation of a free lunch than it is to teach a dog to hunt.

This is why the electoral process has outlived its day in a democratic republic. It is all quantitative and not qualitative, just like the original algorithms at Google had to be replaced by the Panda and Penguin updates to right the search ship from listing off course as paid links servers manufactured the quantitative links prized by the old algorithms.

The only way to save democracies is to replace the electoral process with a conscriptive lottery to pull citizens into mandatory service representing their peers for a single two-year term. Any time you allow politics to become a career for others, you have done a disservice to your country. Never mind the details of how the lottery system would work, No need to bother kind folks here with boredom when there is always a free lunch somewhere paid for by somebody else. But in conclusion, so long as voting is the way of keeping a country under control, not by the voters BTW, then in all fairness to voters it should be mandated that anybody receiving entitlements is prohibited from voting due to conflict of interest.
