I think ... based on your posts .... your problem with finding girls in the west has more to do with your drinking , wanting to renounce your citizenship and other social problems than it does with not being able to find a girl willing to live in an apartment that cost 10 out of 30 days minimum wages ..... because 1/3 of income on rent is actually pretty standard worldwide weather it's minimum wages or higer wages.I once lived here in a 3,000 baht a month apartment and my Thai wife was a-ok with it.. Do you think any girl would live with me if I lived like that in the west? Get your head screwed on right. It's far more affordable here.
You come to meet me face to face and say shit like that, pal. I know some Thai lads and all it takes is a few hundred baht to get things done here..

I miss my family but I certainly don't miss america(aka the USSA).
I hated the place when I lived there. My life wasn't very happy at all. The jobs are crap and the cost of living is high. Fat people are everywhere. Couldn't get laid because I couldn't afford it. First time I visited Thailand I wanted to defect. It's been an easy decision.
I think if I returned I'd be spend every day trying to get back here again.

I just don't get it. Most of these women want houses, cars, and 20k+ a month allowances. How do the Thai guys on 6k do it? How do they manage to find women?
Do they just want more from us because we're farangs?

Just try it with the photocopy. 50/50 chance they will accept it.

I'm semi-retired and I have loads of time on my hands. I sometimes go to gogos when I'm bored. It's an wild lifestyle but somebody's gotta do it.
I'm insane and there isn't a cure.

Have you ever seen a bar in Pattaya with a yank flag on it? lol. I've seen UK flags, swiss flags, danish flags, etc. But no yank flags.
Americans sure don't get out much..
I sometimes go to Uk & Swede bars as that's my heritage. Do they mind? I don't care.

At my last job many years ago they didn't give me any vacation days. That's right. 0 days of vacation. I had to quit my job to visit Thailand(!) These days I'm self employed and I can travel whenever I want(one of the great fringe benefits ).
Many many Americans have no time to travel. Also, there is more poverty there.

I had a motorbike accident and I had a black eye.
Well I'm 46, have ridden motobikes since i was 12, I can't ever remember in the many times I've dropped a motorbike, not taking any skin off my palms or hands, or elbows.
At the type of speed that would cause those injuries.
Also as mentioned, his injuries aren't consistent with a motorcycle crash.
Maybe it was a deal gone wrong, either drug or some other type. steroid, yaba, that of course is pure speculation, and baseless.
Or perhaps he was seeing a girl he shouldn't have been.
Regardless I wish him well, he is lucky to be alive.
I hope he recovers well, that may be the end of his career as a muay thai fighter though.
I had a bike accident and I had a black eye too.

my favorite: mixx pub walking st. pattaya
i also liked to drink at pattaya beer garden.
if you're really low on funds head on over to mickys british bar in new plaza. 35 baht beers can't go wrong.

I don't think you've really thought this through, have you?
I don't need a US passport. It's of no value for me except to travel on.
My citizenship status might become a tax liability in the future so I think I should start to cut my ties now.
I'm planning an extended dating trip to Canada and/or Australia with the intent on finding a wife who can sponsor me. If you know any Canadian or Australian ladies(doesn't matter how ugly) looking for an american man let me know.
I think you might not have researched it fully enough. US taxes are very low when compared with Australian or Canadian.
Yes, but I don't think they tax people living abroad.
And BTW, taxes in the US are actually quite high. 25-40% is the normal tax rate. Only the rich and low income people who have lots of kids have these "low" taxes.

I find 1,000 baht gets me a good quality hotel here. No need to pay more..

Ain't gonna happen. Stop dreaming.
It's gonna happen. It's just a matter of time. I think I can have it completed within 5-10 years if I hurry.
The way I see it, my freedom is threatened by an increasingly fascist and controlling government. I'm trying to get out now before it is too late. And I'm certainly not the only American trying to do it.
-
So any farang can go in and you don't have to be Thai?
Is the wait long?

Things like this could turn Pattaya in to a ghost town.
They say they want tourists but then they do this sort of thing.

I pretty much know how to do the renunciation thing. What I am really looking for is a country I can apply for 2nd citizenship before I do it.
Is it easy to become a Thai citizen? I have a Thai wife and son and I speak a Thai a little bit.
But I'm open to other options.
-
I will be interested to see the replies on this one Chops. Is it for tax reasons?
Do you have Thai citizenship? If not, who would you be a citizen of then?
I think you are very brave, personally I couldnt give up my citizenship for anyone but then I dont have to lodge tax returns to a country that I dont frequent!
No. I just don't want to be a US citizen any longer.
I only wish to have one item: a passport that I can use to travel most of the globe without much hassle.
-
Is there a reasonably cost effective and easy way of doing this? I'm very serious about it.
Obviously I will need a passport or something that will allow me to travel to Thailand or Cambodia at the very least.

Knock knock! The only people who practice large scale multicultural immigration are western countries! Nobody else does this!
I think they do it because they fear being labeled racists.
-
My former country(usa) never cared about me. I had voting right too! So much for that..
-
Male or female?
-
That's pretty messed up. Are the economies back in their home countries that bad?
-
I'm throwing back multiple Changs over the course of an hour and I still can't get a proper buzz. The result of living too long in Pattaya I guess.
Solution?
Drink on an empty stomach?
Drink hard liquor only?
Buy 10 cases of beer and down it while trying not to vomit?
I like beer but it's not doing it for me anymore.
Do You Think The Russification Of Pattaya Is A Good Thing Or Not?
in Pattaya
Posted
Hardly. Russia is loaded with beautiful women. In fact it has been said there are more beautiful women in Moscow than in the entire western world.
Russian men are just here for the beaches.
