  1. I once lived here in a 3,000 baht a month apartment and my Thai wife was a-ok with it.. Do you think any girl would live with me if I lived like that in the west? Get your head screwed on right. It's far more affordable here.

I think ... based on your posts .... your problem with finding girls in the west has more to do with your drinking , wanting to renounce your citizenship and other social problems than it does with not being able to find a girl willing to live in an apartment that cost 10 out of 30 days minimum wages ..... because 1/3 of income on rent is actually pretty standard worldwide weather it's minimum wages or higer wages.

You come to meet me face to face and say shit like that, pal. I know some Thai lads and all it takes is a few hundred baht to get things done here..

  2. I miss my family but I certainly don't miss america(aka the USSA).

I hated the place when I lived there. My life wasn't very happy at all. The jobs are crap and the cost of living is high. Fat people are everywhere. Couldn't get laid because I couldn't afford it. First time I visited Thailand I wanted to defect. It's been an easy decision.

I think if I returned I'd be spend every day trying to get back here again.

  3. I had a motorbike accident and I had a black eye.

Well I'm 46, have ridden motobikes since i was 12, I can't ever remember in the many times I've dropped a motorbike, not taking any skin off my palms or hands, or elbows.

At the type of speed that would cause those injuries.

Also as mentioned, his injuries aren't consistent with a motorcycle crash.

Maybe it was a deal gone wrong, either drug or some other type. steroid, yaba, that of course is pure speculation, and baseless.

Or perhaps he was seeing a girl he shouldn't have been.

Regardless I wish him well, he is lucky to be alive.

I hope he recovers well, that may be the end of his career as a muay thai fighter though.

I had a bike accident and I had a black eye too.

  4. I don't think you've really thought this through, have you?

I don't need a US passport. It's of no value for me except to travel on.

My citizenship status might become a tax liability in the future so I think I should start to cut my ties now.

I'm planning an extended dating trip to Canada and/or Australia with the intent on finding a wife who can sponsor me. If you know any Canadian or Australian ladies(doesn't matter how ugly) looking for an american man let me know. giggle.gif

I think you might not have researched it fully enough. US taxes are very low when compared with Australian or Canadian.

Yes, but I don't think they tax people living abroad.

And BTW, taxes in the US are actually quite high. 25-40% is the normal tax rate. Only the rich and low income people who have lots of kids have these "low" taxes.

  6. I will be interested to see the replies on this one Chops. Is it for tax reasons?

Do you have Thai citizenship? If not, who would you be a citizen of then?

I think you are very brave, personally I couldnt give up my citizenship for anyone but then I dont have to lodge tax returns to a country that I dont frequent!

No. I just don't want to be a US citizen any longer.

I only wish to have one item: a passport that I can use to travel most of the globe without much hassle.
