I will move this to pub, the ladies forum is for ladies, not about ladies.
As to the issue of facebook & not wanting you to meet her family, use your common sense, she could send you a friend request. And her family, if they are fine with your relationship as you say, should be chomping at the bit to meet the man she lives with in a foreign country.
She sounds like she is hiding something, either a husband or ex one and/or kids.

I always find it interesting when westerners with little experience of thailand come on here and make these ill informed statements. There are very few thai women posting on thaivisa but as a women who has spent alot of time with thai people and in Thailand your opinions are very different to my own. But hey, those "terrible"thai blokes must be doing something right but some find it hard to understand that for 99% of thai women they'd rather have a thai bloke than even look at a foreigner.

I think you were probably slipped something. Esp as he was being agressive about unprotected sex. Be happy he left. The worst he will likely do with the pic is a few passes around his mates. We've all done things we regret in the sober light of day, just add this to the top of the pile.

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/151665-safety-tips-for-women-in-thailand/
gnore the rude posts, it's part and parcel of the forum unfortunately.
Have a read of the pinned topic above. It's easy to drop your natural safety rules in the early days but it's happened so move on and learn from it.

Firstly, welcome to the forum.
Secondly I am usually suspicious of 1 post members creating topics like this but in case you aren't one of the <deleted> who like to troll the ladies forum I'll give this the benefit of the doubt.
The likelihood of him posting this on the web is low, if you got wind of it anywhere the police would take defamation very seriously. Thailand has VERY strict laws against it.
Personally I would be putting it down to a very nasty experience that could have been much worse and use it as a painful but valuable learning tool next time you go out. Thai people are not the placid smiley folk many people think, they are humans like any other and there are good and bad like any other people. Educate yourself, never drink too much, never leave your drink unattended, never take opened drinks off strangers, if someone offers to pour you a drink watch them do it, the usual precautions women should use in any country
You had a lucky escape. Be grateful and be more wary of who you go home with.
Good luck

It's been well over a decade since we did mr boo's settlement visa so am well out of date on all of the rules.
When our neice graduates HS next year at 18 years old we would like her to come to UK for 2 years, live with us & study English at a language school. She is keen to come & her parents are happy to let her come as long as she is with us.
Figured we might as well look at what the requirements are these days in terms of sponsorship as neither she nor her parents could afford this otherwise;
We will be providing all financial support, do we need to show lump sums or an agreed set allowance or is it a case of "we'll cover what she wants & needs? & here are our financials to prove we can cover eventualities?
Accomodation - Will be owner occupies by them, presumably copy of mortgage?
Paying for her college place. - Deposit for a provisional place or just a "if she gets the visa we will be applying here?
Insurance - Assume she will need for UK but does it need to be in place before application?
Also is she allowed to work part time on a student visa as we may be able to line her up a local job after a settling in period.
She really is a nice kid & we think it will do her the world of good to get away from the MIL & parents & spread her wings a litte.
Anything I might have missed in terms of what we need to get in place & any recent stories of the student visa process much obliged.

Tbh this will not go well and I cant see a reason to let it stay. This kind of topic always pulls in the troll so will close it.
