Siam Reap doesn't like the Chinese tourists for all the usual reasons. Angkor Wat is limiting the number of tourists per day as it is being over run by Chinese. Another great place about to be ruined !

"The nurse asked him to be patient" Yes, he was a patient ! And a prize tosser too ! I have been in Thai hospitals a few times and I have plenty of praise for the staff. The patient turnover rate in every A & E unit in hospitals in all countries is very slow. Why ?? Cos they are under staffed!

My wife kept her surname. To have changed it would have created so much hassle e.g. passports, business name. tax records, ID card, house, land documents and more. Sometimes it is better to have a Thai name on documents,

I regularly fly to BKK from Perth and have loved the 787 we had before. Last trip was on the A330 and it was crap ! It is so noisy in comparison and the seats are not as comfortable. Do not get a window seat. We always sit around row 50 at the back but their is plenty of engine noise. However it is convenient for the toilet and galley. Food has gone right downhill and so has the service. Will look at flying Scoot via Singapore in future. To book your ticket always use AM Holiday Travel. They are the cheapest and the best. Run by Thai people.

I have never used the tuk tuks. I rent a car at the airport ( Nine Car Rent) for 1000 baht a day. The best way. Don't need it at night as we stay local

It has taken over 4 years to get up to the minimum safety standard for world standard aviation. Pathetic !! But thats quick for Thailand. Will never get their drivers up to any kind of minimum safety standard.

Thailand has a top army guy running the country but he can't run an army. A job he was trained to do for many years. All he does is tell other people to sort out the problems.

Why is the PM proud about it ? It has been during his time as PM that the safety standard has been way below standard and he done nothing about it ! So who should take the small amount of credit for the change ?? Certainly not the government.

I only hear this happening in Thailand ! Never hear this kind of story from any other countries news reports. Wonder why ?

Ask a Thai if they think the economy is better.
And what about the pathetic money exchange rates for tourists and expats ?? Australian dollar down from 32 to 22 in 4 years. Pound down too. Too expensive to live in Thailand or go for a holiday. Isn't tourism supposed to be about 12% of GDP ?

Any normal country would sling the book at him ! He would possibly never get another driving job. But in Thailand they just ignore it cos it is normal now. Going downhill faster, the country not the trucks ! But thats another headline that frequently comes up

Didn't there used to be a departure tax? I remember going to a machine and paying 500 bt for a ticket that had to be shown,,,at check in or passport control...don't remember which.
It went up to 700 baht in the end and is now included in your ticket price.

"The filter is part of a 124 million Baht project" Exactly ! Only part of the money was spent on the project. Who got the rest ??????

And your home country will go up the same.
It is ridiculous for people to say how expensive Thailand is now they do not understand economics.
Inflation should be a big part of your financial portfolio planning.
But most here have no idea what I am referring too....
The Australian Dollar has dropped below 22, when a few years ago it was 32. That alone has devalued me by over $250,000. There are many items that are more expensive than in Perth. I have decided to stay here. Will just go to Thailand to visit family. Forget all the touring and renting cars, costs a fortune now.

You really are living in the past ! Nowadays you never trust your opponent. Fight dirty, destroy and walk away.

"Protests from tour operators" !! All they care about is filling their boats with tourists. Don't give a toss about nature or passengers. Now they will have plenty of time to do some maintenance on their boats ! Hahahaha !! No chance !

Regarding their ticket prices not being increased ,seems that lowering the free baggage limit to 20 kg, and the fact they are the most expensive fares into Australia while food quality and service has dropped, they made a wise decision.
Flying from Perth Air Asia are more expensive and takes much longer. Thai are always the most efficient airline from here. and cheap if you go to the right travel agent (AM Holiday Travel). Convenient take off times and less than 7 hours. Don't care about the drop in food quality on a short flight. Shame we have lost the 787 and got noisy A330 back for good.
