  1. Women cannot be monks in Thailand - in Si Lanka yes, but not in Thailand.

It shows that sexism and homophobia are not the sole preserves of Christians

Isn't it nice to have a term like homophobia. If someone disagrees with anything gay people do its homophobia. The fear of homos. If your particular moral code doesn't endorse being gay, it doesn't mean you are scared of gay people. If your religion condemns murder are you murderphobic? If your ethical system warns against gluttony are you fatsophobic?

I'm not sure everybody wants Thailand to be more like Sri Lanka, is it really a shining beacon of freedom and tolerance?

  2. Even though it would seem to be political suicide for PM to contact Thaksin or take advice from him, this is Thailand and in current situation I do not think anything much would happen to her if she contacts Thaksin openly. The majority voted for her and therefore are obviously pro-Thaksin and would love it if he returned to Thailand. Democrats would make a big fuss if govt. has involvement with Thaksin, but I believe nothing much will happen to PM if she does this, which personally I believe someday this will happen.

You don't have to worry about Thaksin giving advice to the new government, he'll be running it. Yingluck won't be able to do anything without his permission, she's only his clone.

  3. The Central World shopping mall was renamed after certain events made the former name, World Trade Center, a bit gloomy. But maybe that name cursed the mall to also be a victim of terrorism. The events of 5/19 brought back memories of 9/11 for many. Perhaps it can explain some things about the twin towers. Many people have stated that the jet fuel would not have burned hot enough to collapse the towers. The Central world fire had no jet fuel yet some of the mall also collapsed, the link may be the tires. Burning tires brought down this shopping mall. The passenger planes that hit the NY WTC would have contained several sets of tires each. Perhaps they are the reason for the collapse. In the Thai WTC fire we saw that burning tires is sufficient to cause significant damage and even collapse of a building. It is also alleged that funding for the terrorists among the reds came from a certain middle eastern country, coincidence?

  4. PROVO, Utah - Gary Coleman, the child star of the smash 1970s TV sitcom "Diff'rent Strokes" whose later career was marred by medical and legal problems, died Friday after suffering a brain hemorrhage. He was 42.

  5. clearly demonstrate our political determination and capability to meet all the commitments

arising from our membership of INTERPOL and to give our contribution to the fight

against transnational crime, terrorism and other security challenges and threats

Address by Mr Milo Djukanovic, Prime Minister of Montenegro

    26 May 2010, Budva, Montenegro

The Prime Minister on one hand promises to fight terrorism and on the other refuses to turn over Thaksin. Looks like double standards are the norm in Montenegro. I wonder how much it costs to bribe the PM there? Was it higher than Thaksin's usual rate?

  6. For everyday the seige continues the prison terms should get harsher. Six months isn't much time for attempted murder of police, rioting, looting and the long list of crimes they are guitly of. Hopefully lots more will join them in the next few days. I hope that those in hospital are also being arrested.

  7. If he hadn't opposed the roadmap and fresh elections SD might still be alive, he has only himself to blame. He has led the reds to a dangerous place and is responsible for many more deaths. One of Thailands greatest villians.

  8. Several posts have been deleted and several mebers received a warning or suspension. Maybe a good time to remember people about our zero tolerence policy.

We will not allow the celebrition of the shooting of someone, nor will we allow the screaming of murder. The situation is overheated as it is, so lets cool down and not put extra oil to the flames.

    Thanks Mario :)

    I guess he missed one.

  9. Let me get this straight ...Thaksin's extrajudicial killings of drug dealers were fiercely condemned by the Democrats. Now the army has shot a General in the head while he was giving an interview to an international media reporter.

I assume he was given a fair trial before he was shot?

EXACTLY some posters on here are a disgrace and how they have not been suspended for some of the comments I will never know - whatever your views shooting an unarmed guy in the head while he gives a TV interview is disgraceful and shows how this government is handling the crisis.

now who has already proved the army did this, just you two?

did I say Army? I said it's a disgrace shooting a guy giving a TV interview - and its disgraceful how the government is handling the crisis - it's disgusting

Any outrage for the parading of dead bodies, the pouring of blood, the grenade attacks on police and civilians, the random searches on public roads, storming of hospitals, inciting violence, and so on and so on. It's sad that the government has sunk to the level of the reds, but that might be the only thing they understand. Are you suggesting that terrorists should be given safe haven if they have a tv camera around them? If so get ready for media people to be taken hostage. Is an unarmed guy and the leader of a armed paramilitary unit really the same thing.

Let me see if I've learned anything from reading red posts for the past couple months, here we go....

Abhisit is no order shoot Seh Daeng, where is proof? Video no is have. He shoot by fake army is really Red guard who do to shoot him. You have no proof all is fake. Independent agency must investigate and show is no Abhisit. Maybe meteor fall from sky is no proof it was even bullet.

  11. Well Abhisit has been sent a letter from Human Rights informing him that he has committed a war crime by allowing civilians to be shot - possibly more than 20 last night. I have seen the letter and it is very legally written. Next change of government and he won't be safe anywhere in the world from prosecution.

    Good news !

I wonder if he will serve his jail time or escape overseas... :)

Which civilians might those be? Good try though your post is almost legibly written. If Abhisit truly feared prosecution I hear Montenegro harbors criminals for a fee. For those confused reds out there a military general in combat fatigues commanding his own private army is not a civilian.

  12. it shows your own meagre level of intelligence if you think that Abhisit or Suthep will have signed or uttered any order, to anyone, that says anything like '' off you go out and kill Seh Daeng''

So who gave the orders for the army to use live ammo then? The tooth fairy ? :)

After April 10 of course the army is carrying live ammo, they have been for days. No one said they had orders to use it to fire on the crowds though. But once the reds attack them they will be able to defend themselves. If they had orders to use live ammo on the crowd last night there would have been evidence of it and dead people in the hospitals, have there been lots of fatalities yet?

  13. I don't know why people act surprised the government announced that soldiers would be armed. Gave the protesters lots of warning and time to leave. Why can't the soldiers defend themselves?

Look's to me like the guy hit with a rubber bullet in the eye. The Chulalongkorn hospital did not confirm any dead, only this guy in serious condition.

    rgds

We have no evidence that the army has used live ammo on protesters tonight, there have been at most one death, Seh Daeng was targeted, possibly by the military, but he would have and has done the same thing when he targeted military commanders on April 10. His own tactics were used against him. Still there is nothing stopping the protesters from returning to their homes even now.

  16. The number of disgusting posts here cheering assasinations, posionings and murders sure says a lot about the mindset of the posters.

When the protesters cheered the murder of the woman killed at Silom and when they cheered the deaths of police and soldiers it said alot about their mindset. Seh Daeng was killed using his own tactics against him. He isn't a civilian, he is leading an armed rebellion against the government he swore to protect, other soldiers have been executed for treason for doing a lot less.
