  1. Not sure why you guys keep sparing with Snoopy. Can't you see that is what he wants...

    Agreed. It's an endless loop.

I went back on-topic several posts ago. You guys keep coming up with the paid-to-protest lies. So let's stop and go back on-topic please.

    ok then, where were we?

thats it, the reds refuse to go home

    why?

answer, they have not been paid........

Wrong. Because Abhisit has yet to confirm the date of the House dissolution. It's in the news of both TV and BP.

  2. http://www.nationmultimedia.com/home/Man-f...4-30128346.html

Strange that our newest returnee doesn't know about this .... oh wait ... :D

The man said 18 of 25 men from Phichit had their ID cards seized by some rally organisers.

It is common knowledge up here, you surrender your ID and check in daily to document that you are at the protest site.

And where is your proof that the story is fabricated? You're just spouting the redneck line over and over (boring). You've taken the redneck lies, hook, line and sinker and you accuse others of being gullible? :)

You asked for a source and you were given one, BACK IN YOUR BOX DEADSNOTTY!

You're mis-quoting. You're attributing the above post to me when it was in fact posted by jdinasia.

  3. i provided a credible source for you and you say its lies

in the video, taken on March 10th 2010 and shown on TV many times, they must have been fake reds handing over fake ID's to other fake reds and collecting fake money from even more fake reds

it does not matter what the money is to be used for, gas, food or whores (probably all three)

its still money being given by reds to reds to gather and protest in Bangkok

that makes the recipents bought and paid for in my book

as to being paid for driving and gas money, i think its pretty unlikely, some of the recipients of the money could have been taught to drive by Henry Ford.......

As reported in Thai news, it was truck drivers handing over their ID cards to have their details written down (note the big book where they're writing stuff into?). Why did they write down their ID card details? Obviously so they wouldn't collect the gas money more than once. Make sense now?

  4. If you say other people are liars, then you have to back up your stand with something. You can´t just say they must back up what they say. If you in your first post had done that, it would been an other question, but you start to say they talk trash

Sorry, let me correct you. If someone says that someone else is being paid money to protest, I'm not the one that needs to prove them wrong. They need to back up that big statement with credible evidence and then I'll accept it. But a video that was already explained in Thai news as truck drivers getting money for the gas to drive protesters to Bangkok is not evidence of the protesters receiving money, I'm sorry. Anyone that understands Thai knows that, and those who don't probably don't understand Thai politics anyways.

  5. A potential block in the road map?

"Democrat Party Spokesperson, MD Buranaj Smutharaks today said that the party would be keen to take part in the reconciliatory process to help end the current political conflicts. He also believed that Mr Abhisit already had an exact date for House Dissolution in mind which may fall during 14-30 September 2010. This would be after the allocation of the national budget and the appointment and transfers of high ranking officials have been completed, in order for the new election, scheduled on 14 November, to take place in accordance with the constitutional law. The Election Commission of Thailand (ECT) would also be asked to cooperate in order to ensure transparency of the election, he added."

Thank you for going back on-topic :) That's one of the big "IFs" in this roadmap. What if the Democrats fail to achieve those goals? That would be an excuse to hold no elections? It's quite clear that this is why the red shirt leaders want the dates confirmed with the Election Commission before going home.

  6. The reds from this part of the country DID indeed have to hand over their ID's and check in daily to have their attendance recorded in order to get paid.

Please provide a credible source or stop spreading lies.

How can you say you are right and the others are wrong? What is your proof of that?

If you make accusations in the severity of that and you're half decent, at least provide a link to a credible source.

  7. All quiet. Thought so. Some people here are big talking trash but when it comes to actually showing a credible source to back up their ridiculous statements, they suddenly go quiet.

    Please see post #353 above.

That "man from Pichit" story ...I can't believe you fell for that. :D That story is clearly fabricated by the Democrats (who are the ones telling it) and it was picked up right away by TheNation. Obviously. :) Where is that "man from Pichit"? Let's see him. Oh right, he went back to the rally ground, after giving his name to the Democrat party. You're so gullible it's almost unbelievable. :D

    not me boy

    here you go.........

That's an old video and if you could understand Thai, you would know that this was money paid to drivers for the gas to drive to Bangkok. It was reported widely even in Thai news. Is that all you've got? :)

  9. "Thai Red Shirts accept roadmap but refuse to go home "

    Q. I wonder why they don't want to go home?

    A. They have a better standard of living in Bangkok than on their farms

If they return home now they may have to work for a living instead of living off Thaksins handouts

They know it is rice planting season and that is hard work

REDS THE PARTY IS OVER !! GO HOME AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR FAMILIES

I don't think that they are being allowed to go home until the red leaders say so. They first need to get back their ID cards and probably the money that they earned from taking part in the protest.

    Cheers, Rick

Stop talking trash. Nobody has to give up their ID cards. A few weeks ago they started making their own "red shirt ID cards" to help identify them when they enter/leave the protest sites. Nobody is being held hostage in there, everybody is free to leave and join.

Sorry, but I have to shatter your delusions.

Mrs Norcan is a station supervisor with the BTS. She regularly works nights at one of the stations that are within Fort Redneck. At midnight, the BTS staff padlock the shutter from the inside, which is about 30 seconds before a Red comes up and locks the staff in from the OUTSIDE. How's that for peace and harmony for starters?

However, some of the older, more gentle, country folk (read: old ladies) pop upstairs to the BTS and offer the staff food and drinks, because they know they are being held hostage every evening. Mrs N. recently asked one of the old ladies "why don't you go home? Don't you realise how dangerous this could be for you?" The little old ladies reply ---> "I want to go home. I was only told I had to come here for 3 days and I have only been paid for 3 days. But now they will not allow us to leave."

This is not rumour, conjecture or gossip...it is fact!

"Mrs. Norcan"? Would that be the wife of "Norcan" (you) who has 6 anonymous posts on this forum? I asked for a credible source, not for someone signing up for a new forum username and posting more rumors.

Even if this were true, a "redneck ID card" is not going to accepted in lieu of an official Thai ID card... so, outside redneck city, it is worthless.

Twist twist. The point is that nobody has to give up their ID card to enter the rally.

  11. Stop talking trash. Nobody has to give up their ID cards. A few weeks ago they started making their own "red shirt ID cards" to help identify them when they enter/leave the protest sites. Nobody is being held hostage in there, everybody is free to leave and join.

Maybe they are free to leave if they want to but after a couple of months in the hot sun, they're not going to leave without getting paid first. So in essence they are being held hostage.

More trash. Even respected journalists like Dan Rivers from CNN have yesterday said on live TV from Bangkok that it's highly doubtful that the protesters are here for money. Wake up.

  13. Here's something else that's interesting; the UDD Facebook page was recently censored. Note that this only contains almost sugar-coated posts that are also very much intentioned for an international audience and international news media. Absolutly no hate whatsoever. Yet it was censored.

meanwhile, very nice Facebook pages such as this one remain available: http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=81313992104

I think the government speaks with multiple tongues. Hard to trust them to be honest.

Yeah, that page is certainly not about inciting hatred :) Press and media freedom will be a tough issue in the upcoming election. I personally am quite sure that he will continue to try and shut down PTV (red shirt television), their radio stations and websites. Usually this would be lifted with the state of emergency, which is another point the red shirt leaders want clarified. Because if the state of emergency lasts until after the upcoming elections, there will be really no press and media freedom.

  14. Here is even an article called "Why 9 months?" from CAPO, the Thai government website:

    http://www.capothai.org/capothai/why-9-months , dated March 30, 2010.

9 months house dissolution from April 1st would have meant House dissolution by January 2011 and new elections by March 2011. Not new elections by the end of the year as you're claiming.

Can you stop calling me a lair now, please?

An apology from JC would be nice as well. It was nothing but a flame, while you tried to have a reasoned discussion. (I don't agree with you on all points, but I recognize a reasoned point of view when I see one. )

I doubt I will get an apology from him, and I'm not really looking for one. He's all quiet now claiming he's got me on ignore. So that's an excuse :) I'm not asking people to agree with me. We're all entitled to our own opinions, but I do like to defend my point if I believe that I have one. And this one is quite clear.

  15. To respond to your edits ....

He offered elections by the end of the year .. 1 year early.

You now need to go back on ignore. Have you noticed the number of folks here who have asked how to use the ignore feature in responses to your posts? Does this not give you any indication that it is not every one else and not you who may have a problem?

I really mean this constructively because I like people with passion in their beliefs but you often seem to post without any real thought in mind except arguing to prove you are right at any cost including ignoring facts and manipulating other's posts.

    Hint:

If somebody says you look like a horse, ignore them.

If a second person tells you look like a horse then you may want to think more about this.

If a third person tells you that you look like a horse ... then buy a saddle.

I'm sorry, but you're simply not correct. Abhisit has continuously said "9 months" before the April 10 bloodshed. And a house dissolution in 9 months doesn't mean an election in 9 months. It means an election in 11 months. Every newspaper has it in their archives. Here's a quick link, you can also look it up at other major newspapers, some of which cannot be mentioned here:

    http://www.kohchangnews.com/index.php/home...e-best-solution

BANGKOK, 29 March 2010 (NNT) – Prime Minister said that the House dissolution within nine months was the best offer to be considered by the United Front of Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD).

Note the date. March 29th. Only 11 days before the April 10 bloodshed.

  16. one thing for sure the Isaan people and the rest will not be ignored by no one anymore

That part I would disagree with. It's going to be a long time until the "Isaan people" (aka. Thailand's poor majority) aren't going to be ignored anymore. They will always be promised gold and jewels before the election, but after the election all they will get is coal and dirt, so to speak. Let's hope I'm wrong, though.

  17. You mean why is he offering the same thing he did before all the bloodshed?

Before the red shirts took to the streets, he did not even offer to shorten his term. He was high up there claiming he had been legitimately elected and that he would finish his term until 2011 and then call for fresh elections.

Some constructive criticism .. You really should stop editing and taking people's quotes out of context. It really makes you look very foolish, desperate and dishonest. Especially in a case like this where you have edited my post to pretend I didn't already address exactly what you are saying.

Did you just do the same thing you're telling me not to do? :D:D:):D
