I use my Bangkok Bank debit card to pay for all my Apple products online. You need to add you card to your Apple ID paying options, and up your daily payment limit by calling 1333.

I went to the Robin Hood Tavern for my Xmas dinner yesterday. It was ok, a nice spread, however, me and the mrs haven’t been far from the toilet today! I started evacuating my bowels rather quickly as of 4am this morning!

That's an interesting point related to the OP because the preacher failed to tell the crowd what flavor of Christianity she was selling, whether more mainstream or not. Indeed some of them are more cult-like than others. A person might think they are visiting a mainstream group and then possibly experience a bait and switch. Of course Thailand being a more naïve environment I assume the majority of the population here isn't educated about the implications of joining the different flavors. Not all same same.
For sure Thais will be probably be more susceptible to the supernatural stuff that comes into play with some of these sects. With the JW’s it’s all about love bombing initially, and then they hit you with Armageddon and the threat of shunning and all the rest of it. I think JW’s are more likely to just stand there with their Watchtower carts or go door knocking. Still, would be interesting to know what ‘flavour’ the preacher was. -

An aspect of many (most?) Christian sects is that "sharing the good news" is an explicit and important part of the dogma. So it could be argued that repressing proselytizing is in effect repressing the freedom of people to practice Christianity. So freedom of religion isn't a simple black and white thing when you consider that part of it.
Exactly JT....persecution, they love it!- 1

There are Christian missionaries here but I am not sure they are Thai , seen some Filipinos here working for them and speaking loud when they are given the chance.A mate of mine from work here in Thailand joined the Jehovahs Witness Watchtower cult about 10 years ago - he’s got most of his Thai family indoctrinated now, doesn’t speak to, or associate with most of his old mates/acquaintances anymore. I was surprised how many Thais are involved with the JW’s here, most of them probably have no idea about the history of the cult, false prophesies, or their current child abuse cases worldwide.
Anyway, bit of a tangent but there you go...I’m off to the Robin Hood for my Xmas dinner....All the best....

Were you able to keep your existing number? and was it pre or post paid ?
I’m also on AIS and have just bought an xs max in the uk .
Yes, kept my same number. I’m on contract not 1-2 call. It literally took her 5 mins to do. Just handed her my phone, and she did it at the desk, no ID checks or anything.- 2

Just switched onto esim on my XR (AIS contract).
It took about 5 mins at the AIS shop in T21 Pattaya.- 1

It’s already available. You can order online from Apple/th (7-10 days delivery, no postage fees), or buy direct from the new Apple store in Bangkok (iconSiam).

Try Somboonsuk Villa, turn in 50m past the Nantana Garden View Hotel - The area is not far from Big C Extra. Plenty of houses for rent but you’ll need to drive around and call the numbers displayed on the gates. Some may ask for more than 10k, so you need to bargain.

Bloody hell mate I went banks lane school and lived woodbank after moving from hillgate.
Yes, I went to Banks Lane juniors before Mile End seniors...
I was back in UK earlier this year and went for a stroll round there with my Mum (she lives in Poynton now - dead posh!). Wow...it’s all changed round there, all built up estates near the school on Banks Lane side. My other remnants of family are Worsley/Walkden area now.
When we first moved, my mum was a barmaid in the Gardner’s arms, in the 70’s, until she started working as a designer/type setter on the A6. My dad and grandad were both season ticket holders at OT, both passed on now, and I’d always go to the home games when there was a spare spot with their group. Great times. I left there at 16 and joined the Forces for 7 years, and have been in Thailand since I was 27 - 44 now...
You’ve got me reminiscing now!
Promise, I wasn’t nicking anyone’s dinner money either!- 1

eSIM is now available on AIS but you can only upgrade at Bangkok AIS shops for the time being. Next month they will add more locations where you can upgrade.
I just spoke to the AIS operator (1175).

Born and bred in Stockport on higher hillgate, My dad was born in Bangor in Wales and my Mum was a Stockport lass.
Nev, I was born in Salford. Mum and Dad both from Salford, but when my dad changed jobs, when I was younger, we had to move to Offerton (Banks Lane) and then Mile End (near the old Davenport).- 1

Japanese cheesecake. I believe there is more than one Japanese cheesecake shops in T21 but this one remains one of, if not the only, T21 shops that continually has a long line up. It's located on Floor M near Hawker Chan. FYI Hawker Chan actually had a handful of customers today. Things are looking up!
Wondering if anyone has tried this place. It isn't that cheap so it must be good.
My Mrs tried this place, queued for one hour. Honestly, I was very disappointed with the taste/texture. My Mrs bakes and she has made much better Japanese cheesecake before.- 2

Does anyone know if we can use the esim in Thailand yet? I had a look on the AIS site, and it mentions something about using esim with the Apple Watch, not sure if that’s the same thing??
It would be handy if I could switch my AIS sim over to esim, and use the physical sim when away. -
^update. The battery on this thing is amazing compared to any other smart phone I’ve used. I haven’t charged it for 2 days and it was still at 38%. That was doing nothing different than I did on my 6S. I’m a moderate user, and always listen to Podcasts for at least 2 hours per day among other regular uses. My Mrs has the Samsung A8+ and that also has a pretty good battery, so will continue to compare them as it ages.
Again, the screen is an absolute non issue for me, looks great and the speakers in landscape mode when watching content are really good.

So, I already received and set up my XR. Very easy with iCloud and putting my 6S within the vicinity, took all of 10 minutes.
Noticeably zippier than the 6S, although there is absolutely nothing wrong with the 6S. The LCD screen is great, honestly can’t tell the difference between the XR, iPad and my 6S. I do appreciate the larger display on the XR.
Apart from that it’s exactly the same as any other IOS device, usual familiarity.

Guys, when will the iPhone XR become available in retail stores here in Thailand?
My XR delivers to my house tomorrow. I’m not sure when it will be available in the Thailand resellers. Just make sure the price is the same as quoted on Apple/Th.
Paying for Apple products online solution

You’ve probably sorted it by now but I’ve always had my BKK Bank debit card as my payment method with my Apple ID. I purchase all my Apple products online, the only snag I had was when I forgot to ‘up’ the daily purchase limit when I bought a number of items at the same time that were above what I’d previously set.
