  1. So, they wan to ban a person from entering a Country because he suggested that some people should be banned from entering a Country .

No, they want the law to apply to everyone.

And, pray tell us ..... what law would that be..? If you just feel like talking, Please phone your mom..! thumbsup.gif

The law that says the UK will not permit entry to those that spread hate speech or hold a criminal record.

Same rules were applied to Chris Brown, Martha Stewart, Eric Snowden, "Tyler the Creator", Mike Tyson, Shirley Phelps..

You can read about the rules here. No need to ask "mom"..

    https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/general-grounds-for-refusal-modernised-guidance

I see no reason to treat Donald Trump any different. do you?

    The petition's wording:

"The UK has banned entry to many individuals for hate speech. The same principles should apply to everyone who wishes to enter the UK.
If the United Kingdom is to continue applying the 'unacceptable behaviour' criteria to those who wish to enter its borders, it must be fairly applied to the rich as well as poor, and the weak as well as powerful."

Besides his recent outburst against certain religions - his sexist and atrocious attitude towards women would enough to deny him a visa.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/18-real-things-donald-trump-has-said-about-women_55d356a8e4b07addcb442023

We apply the same rules to Muslims, Jews, Mexicans, Irish, French, Catholics, Jains, Hindus ..

One thing you may not understand about the modern UK is we really do believe in fairness.. It would be very un-British to pick on a particular group based on religion or race or gender or wealth..

    I hope this helps..

Obviously Mr Tee , I will quote you here, " Besides his recent outburst against certain religions - his sexist and atrocious attitude towards women would enough to deny him a visa.

Did you know that if a western woman falls sick and needs help... No Muslim man can touch or help her. He will let her lie there in pain and allow her to die ... Do not let these sick people fool you... Mr Tee ..... Donald Trump is Scottish, his mother is from Stornoway on the isle of Lewis.. But you Mr Tee from your "modern Britain" will have no idea where The Isle of Lewis is. Donald (wheres yoor troosers) Trump is more British than most, he can have a British Passport whenever he wants... Any person who signs this petition should be charged with treason.. I hope for the sake of The Old world I know, I hope that Donald Trump is the next President of the United States of America and his first action to Barr all of those petition signatories from entering the human race.... Oops... I meant The USA.

  2. The "seven Kings" park was NOT closed for the day because of the would be corruption... Nothing in fact to do with money corruption. ( This one item just goes to show the complete stupidity of Larry the Lamb Farangs) What do you guys think happens here, ? The corruption uncovered here was to do with certain trusted people putting the hammers on contractors for brown envelopes.... this happens everywhere . They have been caught and right this minute are waiting for their punishments which I am sure will be very severe. Som Nam Naa....

The park has been closed to stop some activist students who are backed by militant Red Shirts, yes to stop them taking over the park in some sort of peoples protest. Please think back to May 1973... I'm very sure no-one except Mr Thaksin and his crony's want a re-run of that terrible event. If the park is closed ... no attempted take over AND no nervous young soldier boy accidentally shooting up some naive students.

Well done to this present government to see what was happening and very cleverly putting a halt to this Red Shirt maneuver. Thaksin fails again......

  3. It's just the latest wedge issue by conservatives. They demagogue and make people afraid of things which fit the narrative at the moment. First it was welfare to minorities (southern strategy), then it was anti- same sex marriage, more recently it's climate change and obamacare, all of which the public has come around on, and now it's this.

Just look at Trump.. first it was Hispanics, then it was Asians, then Blacks and now its Muslims.

Total demagoguery and of course like the article says he's defiant.

And so he should be.... He is a white , blond haired, blue eyed Protestant boy..... I remember one small Austrian man who would be so proud of our Donald.... Trump for President of USA.... My vote all the way...

And as for demagoguery, well, obviously there is no rationalization with Moslems.... Stuff all the do-gooders, let them stand in front of the bullets and bombs...

  4. Nicked at in the nick of time before he could join the ever growing club of crocks, scoundrels and

the corrupt beyond explanation as how the got their wealth from...

I think you mean crooks, anyway.

It is just a changing of the guard, a new set of snouts at the trough, a redirecting of income streams, a shift in the balance of power.

Your post implies a fundamental rethink of the way corruption is dealt with under the current regime. There has been no evidence that is the case. To the contrary, there is significant evidence that it is business as usual as stated in my second paragraph.

Ohhh ..... Briggsy, You are such a pessimist... Why do you say "It is just a changing of the guard. ? Do you really want Thailand run by thieving politicians ? The likes of Thaksin and his crony's ?

Please give us an example of present corruption being allowed by this present government.. just one example will do... Words come cheap Briggsy and seems to me that people like you that spout off with no substance do NOT help the "farang cause" in Thailand . Without some type of evidence, please, shut the flock up... Just another TV anal orifice comes to mind.!

  5. I think that all of us European ex-pats are happy and glad to be living in Thailand ... stuff the Muslim gypsies... We have a small archipelago of Islands out in the Atlantic from the coast of Scotland and I give that group of islands to the wandering Muslims.... It's called St Kilda and has many uninhabited houses already and waiting for those scroungers... It's perfect for them and all their families.... Have St Kilda with my best wishes... wai2.gif

  6. But it's OK to try to intimidate judges, or pour blood over someone's gate, glad that the UDD made clear that there ARE limits ! wink.png

Wasn't the UDD the ones who stood on stage and asked red shirts to bring empty bottles so they could be filled with petrol to burn Bangkok to the ground????

Was that before or after the government started shooting at them?

It was afterwards, and -- how many? --100 dead, including people in a Temple, several young children, and a Japanese reporter. Yellow sympathizers always have more selective memory than red sympathizers...because they have 17 coups and literally hundreds of deaths to forget about. I hate both sides for their deceptions and corruptions. One just wears silk more often.

Hahaha, talk about selective memory FF... It was long before any shootings... and as we now know , that Japanese photographer was shot by "the men in black" who have now been arrested. And the Red Shirts at that demonstration were told that they were breaking the law, they were told many times by the government to stop holding Bangkok too ransom, and told repeatedly to go home or the troops would be sent in. And as the troops went in they were shot at by the same men in black and so , being soldiers, they returned fire. People got shot.. terrorists got shot, soldiers got shot, and lawbreakers who had been warned repeatedly to get off home, some of them got shot also. Those same Red Shirt supporters were being paid 500 bahts per day .. Blood money it turns out... Reap what you sow..!

  7. Mr Frangie is an experceived politician, whether Westerners like him or not. Asian politics is made in Asia, not in the USA or EU.

Well, well, micmic, Over 4000 posts and still making up your own words.... Hmmm... "experceived".... That's a new one on me... Oh, and also, "Asia politics are made in Asia. Not "is". How are our children ever going to learn ? And if you are NOT a native English speaker... Give up and find a forum of your own language and stop insulting the beautiful English language.

  8. Well done to the Viking Nation.... The EEC is and always has been about jobs for the bhoys... A bureaucratic nightmare that costs way too much.... To allow Muslims to practice their religion in Europe was and is a HUGE mistake... Welcome to a Muslim Europe... The Europeans should send the whole lot packing... Free Europe from this self-imposed bondage...wai.gif

  9. Unfortunately, THE PEOPLE never includes the Royal Thai Military that sees itself as exempt from the People's Constitutions and believes it has the sole authority to create new constitutions. There has never been a new elected government that has created a new constitution.

The military had nothing to do with making the 1997 "people's constitution". Neither did the elected government that was in office at the time, headed by the shortest prime minister in the world.

What has the height of the Prime Minister got to do with anything..? blink.png

  10. Poor Ahbisit who didn't get invited is shooting off his mouth claiming conspiracy. He should know a thing about conspiracy.

Eric, you are back..! First... Abhisit is NOT poor.... And he does not "shoot his mouth off" he leaves that to you and your ilk..... And he probably knows "a thing or two" about conspiracy. I did not think TV posters could get so "Loh"...

And Eric..... would be good if you knew how to spell his name...

Better to keep your mouth shut and let people think.... etc etc,,,,, cheesy.gif

  11. Being able to take a civil case against someone for a criminal offence still seems weird to me. The families are "lucky" that a tragedy like this did happen in Thailand, rather than my home country of NZ, where the families of the victims would have received nothing (Or very close to it). And even though she acted irresponsibly (Texting while driving + No licence), if she were in NZ I'm not sure if her criminal sentence (A suspended sentence + community service + forbidden to drive) would necessarily have been harsher either, given that she was only 17 & has no previous convictions etc.

When she previously appealed her suspended sentence, I was pretty appalled at her for wanting to reduce what was already a very lenient sentence, but knowing her family will also have to pay 30M THB, it actually seems pretty harsh (I know her family is rich, but the law should only give a small weight to this, imagine if it were just a family of poor or modest means instead).

It was an accident, she didn't do it on purpose.

Sorry mate, I don't know if you were here in Thailand when this event happened, but witness statements at the time said that this girl and the bus driver seemed to have some sort of dispute while on the road and she intentionally rammed the bus... So , seems it was no accident.. And it came out that her mother had bought her this car while she was only 16 yrs old. Her parents should be stripped of their assets and this girl jailed for life... She killed 9 innocent people all going home from their work. With intent.

  12. I don't see what the big issue was. He could have waited until everyone left. Where else would that money go? There is a lot of poverty and hunger creeping into Thailand. Wake up!

But over one million Cambodian/Myanmar workers fully employed in Thailand. The poverty and hunger in Thailand is only where the lazy , drunken, stupid people do not want to work and more happy to get drunk, steal , abuse their children. And, the poverty and hunger is NOT creeping in, it is (I'm happy to say) on the way out. But Thai people will always be Thai people... Remember, there is food everywhere in Thailand... just take a walk in the countryside... And you are right Somtam.... What is the issue..?"

  13. They are looking for 2 sides of the story as they dont trust the junta.

Sift through all the B/S on both sides and they might find the truth.

Im sure big brother Khun Thaksin will show up to support his sister.

If they let her leave Thailand?

    coffee1.gif

Strange that Big Brother does not come home to Thailand to give her some support in her time of need..... coward, coward, coward....
