  2. Result. We wanted that right from the start. That's how we should play. Big shagger pulling off some unbelievable saves.
  3. I think if he comes in positive. Changes up training as maybe there lies the problem. New ideas and new drills and players wanting to impress. It may go the other way and they kick on and start pumping teams again. Hope so.

  5. Finally we have a new manager. A proven winner. I'm excited about this appointment.
  6. Absolutely gutted about this. ???? RANGERS can today announce the departure of manager Steven Gerrard to Aston Villa. Gerrard moves to the Midlands club having played a key role in the significant growth of the Light Blues in numerous areas during his three-and-a-half years at Ibrox. Rangers now has an outstanding, highly competitive playing squad which is capable of both winning and entertaining on all fronts, with the highest of standards now also prevalent throughout the football department. In European competition, Rangers have qualified for group stage football for four successive seasons, and knockout-stage football in the last two, improving not only the club’s standing on the continent, but also that of Scottish Football. Domestically, Rangers have flourished under Gerrard, with that work culminating in the club claiming their 55th title last season on the back of an unbeaten league campaign. He now leaves Rangers with the club top of the Scottish Premiership with a Premier Sports Cup semi-final to look forward to and the opportunity to qualify yet again for the knockout stages of the Europa League still in the team’s own hands. Rangers Chairman, Douglas Park, commented: “I would firstly like to put on record my thanks to Steven for his outstanding efforts over the last three-and-a-half years at Rangers. “He has provided us all with some unforgettable moments, not least his delivery of the Scottish Premiership title back to Ibrox last season having not lost a match in the entire league campaign. “In European competition, he has restored the good name and credibility of our club on the continent and leaves us in a very healthy position on the pitch.” Sporting Director, Ross Wilson, added: “Firstly I want to say thank you to Steven for the work, dedication and professionalism with which he has diligently carried out the role of Rangers Manager. “Steven and his backroom staff have ensured that the club is undoubtedly in a better place today than it was three-and-a-half years ago. I joined Steven on that journey just over two years ago and from the first day we met, I have enjoyed all aspects of our partnership. “We have shared a desire to move Rangers forward, to modernise our infrastructure and to make the club win again. There have been so many areas that we have moved forward, and there is still so much to be done, but I can’t stress enough how important it has been to have with us a first team manager who shared a drive and desire to set standards and move the whole football operation forward. “I know how much it meant to Steven that our 55th league championship was achieved last season, and alongside an excellent European record across his tenure, we have had some truly memorable days and nights. Personally, I am proud of the work that we have done together along with all of the players and staff, and I know Steven shares that pride. We wish Steven nothing but success for his next chapter.” Rangers Football Club would like to put on record their thanks to Steven and his staff and wish them every success in the future. They will always be welcome at Ibrox.
  7. I'm not convinced. Why would you leave a team that's playing for titles and cups? Also playing in Europe every year. To go to a team that struggle to do anything except stay up. The only thing i can see is that its closer to his family. I don't see it happening. Why leave mid way through a season? SG is a loyal person and leaving mid season i cant see that. I hope I'm right. we know he will leave at some point. But until there is anything official from Rangers. Then I'm calling it paper talk.
  8. Never a penalty. Guy made a meal of it. <deleted> hate to see that <deleted>. Good players play acting, gives me the <deleted>s.
  9. Still totally gutted about this. Ally is visibly upset. RIP gaffer.
  10. Sad news today. Rangers legend Walter Smith passes away. RIP Walter. Gutted https://www.theguardian.com/football/2021/oct/26/walter-smith-former-rangers-and-scotland-manager-dies-at-73

  12. Going into this game knowing that a win for either team would take either team top. It was Hibs who against the run of play scored first. Second half we came out really wanting it and it was only a matter of time. Good Goal by sub Roofe with Morelos getting a second. Rangers now go into the international break sitting top.
  13. As i said before. He is a good manager. But he needs players who buy into his way of playing and also players who can play the way he wishes. With a rebuild , you need several transfer windows to get the team you want to implement your system. SG took a few seasons to get our team playing in the way he wanted.
  14. Really? After the game. BBC saying Celtic thrashed them. So i clicked on the link thinking they had actually pumped them badly. As much as 3-0 is a good score. Its not really a thrashing. More BBC <deleted>.

  16. I enjoyed that game. Considering we are missing players for various reasons. I'll take 1-0 results all day long.
  17. Fringe players all looking good. Need some momentum now.
  18. Anyone calling for Gerrard to go needs their head examined. <deleted> happens. Its football. Now we need to make sure we get into the Europa and get back to wining ways in the league and the cups.
