Go to www.sortcodes.co.uk and you can enter the sort code and get it's details. I think this should allay your concerns.
I did that RBS sort code is different from nat west sort code

I have an RBS account and had to call them up last week - the woman who answered announced that I was calling the Nat West. Same same.
Did you call by telephone
Have the two banks joined up or something

My daughter tried to renew her British passport but was told cannot pay for it using a Thai debit card. So I will pay using my nationwide debit card.
The passport office sent her an email with the payment details, they use the Royal Bank of Scotland and the sort code is 60-70-80 when I cross checked I discovered that sort code is for nat west not the RBS. anyone got any idea what going on I'm concerned that it might be a scam.

Does anyone know a bank or preferably a building society in the UK
(Apart from nationwide) that will allow them to keep their account after moving abroad.
I know non residents can't open a new account, I'm interested in one that wont close your account after moving abroad.

Doesn't the book show how much the balance is over the year, every time a withdrawal or deposit happens the balance is shown in the book, I give a photo copy of every page of the book, a letter from the bank stating the balance and a small withdrawal or deposit on the day I attend the IO

Which is what I said, not the fault of the DWP - although if the Government Gateway system was a bit more joined up they wouldn't need to send forms to people like me who submit a tax return every year.
I also submit a tax return each year but have never been sent a form as there is no need, but that got me thinking about proof of life form as I another just started getting state pension a year ago

Proof of life forms are sent out every so often by the DWP and on occasion by private pension providers. Failure to respond to them does result in payments being suspended. The biggest risk for many, including myself, is that the Thai Postal service is so erratic that the form isn't delivered, so the first you know about it is when the pension is stopped.
The notion that the DWP stops payments because they haven't sent out the form is nonsense.
The article I read was actually concerning expats in Canada apparently according to DWP the forms got lost in the post and pension payments were stopped.
-
Do British expats living in Thailand receiving a UK state pension have to fill in a cf(n)698 form "proof of life form" So they can continue to receive their state pension.
I just been reading that pensions are being stopped because DWP have failed to send out these forms. -

Indeed.
The people had their say in a Democratic vote. We voted to leave the failing federalist project and we have left and we will NOT be returning.
Of course, Remainers/Rejoiners will blame Brexit for the worldwide recession, the Covid lockdown fallout, the war in Ukraine, climate change etc. for the next 50 years ????.
Still in denial because like the coward Cameron your too much of a coward to admit to the consequences of your actions.

George Osborne wanted to introduce that but it was kicked into the long grass
