The things that always amazes me, if I did not occasionally read TV/AsNow I would have no idea this thing exists. You would think the Gov could get info to us if we are already registered with an email address with them?
When I clicked on this thread this morning I initially thought someone has put a post on some old thread from 5 years ago. Good job I read more.

So who exactly voted? It could have only been the ones living (or stuck) in Bangkok. One would assume theres a lot less of them after covid due to company closures, tightening of company belts and being locked out.

UK haters rejoice, a thread whereby you can justify your life move.
Some things UK beats Thailand hands down on, some things Thailand beats UK hands down.

Thailand in the cool season beats UK's freezing season every time, no brainer. I too would not be considering travel at the moment with this omicron thing, been caught out before by travel restrictions in the middle of a trip and will not take that chance again, christmas or not.

Its not just HSBC these days, its all the banks. This is the new norm, banks that are doing themselves out of business because of stupid OTT government regulation. Of all the ones I have had problems with HSBC is not one of them for me though, after going through the government imposed KYC regulations with them everything works very well now.

I would not have thought 70% could afford to travel overseas, even in a normal year. Even in more developed countries 70% do not travel aboard annually. More utter tosh from the country of utter tosh filled with marketeers and snake oil sellers.

I read the threads and then set up with Kraken, was done in minutes and I was able to buy. Also setup Binance which is just too complicated for me to use and I have had problems sending money to them. Wasted a gross amount of time on Coinbase before I finally figured out the don't do Thailand.

Does that mean you can take out all the 800k after 3 months and then put it back in later, or does 400K have to stay in the bank up till the next extension minus 3 months?

If you go to the main international PayPal site you cannot even open an account in Thailand anymore.

OK till end of Q1 next year, After that business accounts only can accept incoming fund and new requirement is that all business accounts must have proof of Thai registration with Gov. All personal accounts will not be able to receive funds, Thats how I read it.
