  1. Well, I found a place in Line marketplace that sells baked goods for 60 baht each, and 1/2 is more than sufficient for me to have a fun 4-5 hours. They also sell infused butter for 300 baht, and I used 1/2 to make some chocolate chip cookies that have yielded about 30 doses. So, while I have found some expensive sources as well, right now I'm getting a strong 1/2 buzz for about 30 baht per. doesn't really make making my own worth while. Search clue: look for Madeleines
  2. Cannabis isn't a stimulant, it's a hallucinogen. It's useful to know, for me, especially when it comes to feelings. I don't really give my feelings all that much shrift when I'm using cannabis, because I know their origins are suspect.

    Massage

Your question is possibly more ambiguous than you may realize. When it comes to massage shops/parlors here in bkk, there are at least two main categories, with some sub-categories as well. The main distinction is between places with a legitimate massage practice, where some types of sex may also/likely will also be available, and places that are actually sex spots posing as massage. The first type are everywhere in Thailand, literally. In some parts of town, like Sukhumvit, between soi 4 and soi 24, there is a much higher density, the women tend to be much more sexually oriented in their approach, and usually a bit more attractive and available. But, in most residential parts of the city as well, such as Sathorn, where I live, the massage shops are much more dual purpose. Many come just for a massage. But, you can always choose a massage lady who you find attractive, and usually, if your "interest" is apparent, they will offer you one or more options to resolve your situation. As to the massage places that are intended for sex, there are soapy massage places, which can be easily searched for, and just sex massage places. If you're looking for these women, Suk Soi 22 and 24 are the best I know in BKK. There are a lot of shops, the girls are not at all shy, you can ask for whatever you want, and, assuming it's a reasonable request, you can find a masseuse who's up for the job at the right price. As to the details, google is your friend. good luck
  4. So, for quite a while, I've been buying this coffee online from a company in Chiang Rai. It's a much lighter blend of aribica beans than you can find on most shelves here in BKK. I swear, I'm not shilling for these guys. You can google them if you want... The thing is, recently, like maybe 3 of the past 6 or 7 orders, they've messed up and sent an incorrect amount, or had to be followed up on to get me my coffee. (like I said, not shilling for these guys, they just have the best, most reasonably price local coffee to my taste). So, I'm wondering if anyone knows of similar online roasters/vendors here in Thailand. I'd like to have a fallback, should these guys be slowing failing or something (not my wish at all, they've been responsive and apologetic each time I've had to contact them. I wish them well, and... I need the coffee, lol) Most of the locally grown coffee I've tasted really doesn't suit my taste... dark, oily.. not my thing
  5. It's not going to happen, imo.. For any of us who lived through the covid time, I can't imagine the Thai financial culture, let alone the government, supporting any steps back on the decriminilization. For one thing, it's another tourism engine. At a time when tourism is just starting to achive profitable levels, why would they do anything else to prove themselves unreliable as a destination (remember all the various fits and starts with reopening). Additionally, Thailand isn't thrilled with the current demographic of their tourist population (even excluding the chinese absence), and wants to attact a higher (no pun intended) percentage of Euro and North American visitors. So, all of this indicates that the tourism alone would be enough to prevent any flip flopping on the current status. They might tweak it, as they did with "flowers", but the net effect will likely be minimal. Another strong argument is the economic one. This industry is finally giving the government some influence on the farm population, which is historically very red shirted. Combined with the increased agricultural revenue is the economic impact of many small business wholesalers, importer and retailers. The only economic force lined up agains the status quo is the alcohol industry, and the police (they miss the old black market and the under the table revenue it represents. So, the government would have to be very short sighted to throw a bunch of vendors, growers and importers back into limbo just to appease the beer companies and the cops. In the end, I predict some posturing (gotta protect the kids), some zone/classification noise, which will be similar to the approach to prostitution/sex work here, and otherwise a blind eye. Look for gambling next,., my guess 3-5 years
  6. In my experience, people who have this reaction tend to continue to have it, unless their non-smoking circumstances change. By which I mean, if you end up sorting out the basis for the paranoia, then you probably won't experience it at the same level, or at all, when you're consuming ganja. For example, I had a lot of fears when I was younger, which, ironically, I treated by being more or less wasted all the time. After I got sober in '98, I went through a bunch of stuff that resulted in me sorting out those fears. So, now I never have that reaction anymore. My guess is that you could do the same with the paranoia. For me, once I really understand a feeling, and have addressed the underlying causes, I can choose not to empower that feeling anymore, and it gradually diminishes to a point of irrelevance. Anyway, just my experience.
  7. for Lazada, or Food Panda, or other regional services, I just type "lazada thailand", and that works.
  8. Actually, that one hasn't worked for me. Perhaps because the browser settings don't pertain to the dates in searches? Not sure, but I'd tried that a few times before.
  9. This one worked!!! In Settings, add your own custom search engine using this address and make it default. https://www.google.com/search?q=%s&pws=0&gl=us&gws_rd=cr Might could change "us" to "uk." Gets read of all the Thai stuff.
  10. I love living in Thailand, and I almost always refrain from falling into the trap of "comparing" living here with other places. This place is what it is, and I love it. However, that doesn't mean there aren't sometimes little things about living here that can be maddening, from time to time. A perfect example is that, when I'm using Google Search here, my results return with the current Buddhist calendar year. I've tried searching online for a fix, but they're all either referring to outdated versions of Chrome, or they don't work. So, if anyone else has sorted this one, please let me know, either for IOS, or Windows 10/11, or both, Thanks,
  11. So, my lungs really don't enjoy smoke. I'm much more interested in edible cannabis. As I understand it, there are constraints about "thc extracts" here in Thailand that make oils and even gummies much more cbd products than thc. I've also read less than great reviews of the cannabis bakeshops I've been able to locate so far here in Bangkok. My question is simply: Does anyone have any information about the best way to get some edible cannabis with decent thc content, preferably at a reasonable price. BTW, I tried doing a search for "edible" in this forum and came up empty. But, if this is more an issue of the search engine than the lack of content, I appologize for being repititious.
  12. So, I used to use a pharmacy on Suk Rd, near soi 4 for all my prescription and non prescription needs. They had everything, weren't fussy about prescriptions and had good prices. But, alas, they're gone. Does anyone have a suggestion for an alternative? The neighborhood isn't all that critical, as long as it's not too far a hike from the BTS. Thanks in advance.
