  1. sorry, just noticed the THB is needed for getting to play on the field...

I was wondering if this is a once per week thing, or also like 2 or 3 times per week? The more the better.

Perhaps I can invite a friend with me as well.

Another question. What is the level of the people playing ? I mean, I am not even an amateur, still worth to join ? Or will I never touch the ball, lol :)

  2. Hi all, I was looking for some football.. because my gf says im getting fat.. and lazy... im not sure if you guys can use a lazy , smoking, with a belly guy on the field.. but i sure like to play as i think its good exercise and fun as well... im not really good, but if i am welcome, please let me know all info i need... and does it contain training as well as i see like 200-300 thb each per hour ? so there is a coach as well? looking forward to any usefull reply :)

ps. im 30 yo, dutch, like i said.. lazy lol, like soccer and live near on nut. not sure what the ages for this is.. only 60+ yo? anyhow, would still be fun, social and healthy :)

  3. Hello,

My first post in the activities/sports subforum.I have a very simple question.

I'm fat, I smoke, I am in really bad shape, only 30 yrs old and when I was a kid I used to play soccer every week (1 or 2 days of practise, every saturday a competition game).

I want to loose weight, but I dont like to exercise, bit lazy... perhaps its more because I have no motivation for swimming and fitness, because its not fun, no team thing.

I like any game... as long as it gets me in a better shape and is fun to do.

Where can I play for example Soccer the same way I used to 15 yrs ago as a kid/teenager in Bangkok ?

And what about prices? I'm living on a low budget, as in.. Polo Club Bangkok is way too expensive for me...

Any advice is welcome... was just thinking maybe other people do the same for fun in the BKK area.

Thanks in advance for any links, comments and advices.

    Hans (On Nut, Bangkok)

  4. MRO and TRANSAM... so basically what you guys are saying is, the PJS alloywheels is of no use for thiefs and thus not steel it ?

So I can consider myself lucky having a PJS, because they only steel wheels from other cars ?!

Please let me know if I am getting this correct, as my Thai mommy (I am a Luk Kreung) says I HAVE TO DO IT... else she gets pissed at me, lol...

She is just afraid they gonna be stolen.. :/

  5. Ok fellow drivers in Thailand... Finally have my new ride and it came with an Alpine DVA-9861E (Yes I have a PJS'11).

Now, when I look at the owner's manual and some websites I found, it says it has Bluetooth and "Made for iPod".

For me this simply means I'm able to connect my iPhone 3G wirelessly using Bluetooth. Is this correct?

If yes, then how? If not, why not as the sources say it has both bluetooth and capability of using an iPod.

Yes I do know an iPod is something else as an iPhone 3G, but still... it's Apple...

Any help is much appreciated! :)

    Cheers,

    Hans.

  6. Hi all,Seems this is the only forum I can post my questions (it says routes as well hehe).Ive been Googling and found out that there are no ferries from the mainland to Koh Samet... however, these posts are from 2008.Since there are cars driving there (songtaews, and people who live there) I was wondering if I can jump on a special kind of ferry to this island as well. Thanks in advance!Hans

  8. THANKS MRO!!! my hero :)

offer seems to be nice, however, i want alarm + alpine system with maps & gps.... much better as using my phone or having an seperated device ... doesnt look nice :/

any idea what the prices are for these Khun MRO ??? Alarm + lcd navigation (gps) :)

    Hans

All models come with and OEM alarm standard, if you want aftermarket prices range from around 3,000 Baht to 45,000 Baht.

GPS that integrates with the touch screen costs 16k - 20k (Alpine or Kamaz).

While I'm 100% against the "ghetto" look when it comes to interior accessories, I would still use my garmin in the right corner of the dash no matter if the car had GPS built-in or not. In that location it's in line-of-sight, so no need to take eyes off the road, and incredibly useful as a guide to upcoming POI's and for corners when travelling at speed (esp. at night).

thanks once again khun mro :)

  11. The Pattaya Mitsubishi dealer offered me tinted windows on a Pajero sport two wheel drive, seemed very un interested in giving more, are these discounts readily available on new model? Thought the Brown was nice in the flesh seems a nice package has anybody drove the 178 bhp version yet, if so is the power upgrade very noticable

  14. back from dealer!!

    dealer.jpg

    sorry, phone picture :(

i also saw the brown grayish one in the showroom.. i must admit that the color looks pretty classy

and not as ugly as ive seen on some pics before. even might go for the brown, lol.

    anyways..

this is the max i could get from the mitsu dealer in bkk:

    PJS '11 / 2WD GT = 1,142,000

This is the standard dealer price everywhere for the black/gray/brown one (15k more for white)

    The freebies I wanted were:

    - Tinted windows (50% front, 80% rest) by 3M (worth 5,000)

    - 1st Class insurance 1 year (worth 22,000)

    - Tabien Rot (worth 6,600)

    - Rainshields for the 4 windows (worth 2,000)

    - Add GPS navigation (by Alpine or something?) unit, as replacement for the standard music/dvd screen (worth 25,000)

    - Layer of some special stuff covering and protecting all underneath the car from dust/sand/debris/water/sea/etc (worth 5,500)

    - Add alarm (worth 4,500)

The ones the dealer will provide for free are listed in green, the ones I dont get listed in red.

    5,000+22,000+6,600+2,000+5,500=41,100

So Basically I get 41,100 on freebies.... now my question is, is this a good deal?

I personally don't think so, perhaps when I push the dealer to give alarm for free as well, it is an ok deal I think...

what do you think? MRO ? :)

    Cheers,

    Hans

PS. I'm getting my Thai ID (mommy is thai hehe) within 1 week, so i'll wait till then because I want to buy it with my Thai name :)

Also checking some other dealer in Isarn, as I'm going there tomorrow to visit some cousins and aunts of mine :)

PSS. If you know a dealer either near Khon Kaen, Bangkok or Pattaya which can offer 50k or even 60k on freebies, instead of 40k

then please PM me, because it's a lot of money... every baht is a baht :)

  15. today im visiting the mitsu dealer, have appointment at 3pm :)

i was wondering, is it normal to ask like 50,000 discount (so pay less)? or is it more like, instead of discount, you get 50k of extra stuff ?

dont know how buying cars in thailand works :o besides, is 50k reasonable? not that the dealer thinks im totally crazy, lol :D

one more question, will the yokohama parada spec-x 285/50R20_112V will both look awesome as well as keeping good performance

and not damaging body or other parts on bumpy roads or when making u turns ?

might change that immediately when buying from dealer, and does anyone know the price for a set of 4 of these tires ? MRO ? ;-)

btw, i will be buying the new pjs 2wd at gt white for 1.15 i believe. wish me good luck :D

    cheers,

    hans

  16. This axle issue wouldn't manifest itself in squealing when coming to stop, would it??

Do you still get the squealing noise when your wife isnt in the passenger seat?

I see the Mitsu Thailand website has not been updated as yet with any information about these model changes

because they are slow , webmaster is sleeping :)

  17. My Mitsu dealer called me yesterday, he confirms that the 'new' PJS is waiting for me THIS week for a test drive, woohoo.

He will call me once more again, when the car is ready for me this same week :)

This means that all Mitsu dealer will have it in their showroom this or next week, and if not, you can at least order your new PJS :)

Ask if it comes with a spare rear axle as standard.:D

will do when im there :)

  19. ME TOO! :)

i need good prices for the following:

    - New set of wheels/rims. default GT=17" alloy. I'd like to have 19" or 20" with spinners hehe. - Break pads (Brembo (color=red)) for show, many thais have these, me want tooooo ;)- Flashing (strobe) lights (color=white) behind front grill and underneath back of the car, for show, not during driving ofcourse. - Additional sound horn (not replacement, but secondary) - different exhaust(pipe-end) looking part (preferable chrome look and double/twin) just for looks as well

This is for the NEW 2011 pjs which is scheduled for Jan2011, so I dont have the car right now. However... it would be lovely to know the prices and which "car pimp garage" to visit overhere in bangkok :D not sure if the dealer where i will be buying the new PJS will be able to give me good discounts or free stuff like this... any advice is welcome MRO ;)

    Here's some starters:

For Wheels: http://www.nvyangyon...UCT/ListAll.asp (click Mitsubishi then Pajero in the drop-downs)

For the other accessories (brake caliper covers, horns and exhaust tip and LED's): http://www.nekketsu-racing.com/ or http://www.rstyleracing.com or Khlong Thom Markets

Always cheaper to source yourself - if done at the dealer they'll just outsource it and you'll pay a commission on top..

PS. MRO where u staying in TH? Also BKK ?

Currently at my Oasis by the Moon (mun) River ;) But depending on mood and time of year, BKK, Chiangmai, or Pattaya..

YOU are my HERO ! Thanks MRO :-)

PS. Think I'll go for the yoko 265/50/20 and with nice 20 inch rims :D

  20. I already have a flip down screen with built-in DVD player.......paid a whole lot more that 3000 baht. The next time I buy a car I'm going to check with MRO before I add ANYTHING to it......he knows where all the great stuff is at for the best price too
