Thanks, Scallywag! I think it does not have to be a bank deposit of 400k. They allow monthly imports of money as well.

So, can someone tell me how to stay here until the retirement visa in 1.5 years? Border rund, what?
-
Got it. Will copy them at home before sending her

Thanks UJ. Another clear, concise answer from one of our leading experts here. Appreciate you very much. So I don't need to sign the photo copies?

I was not able to use online. I am stuck in bed with Parkinsons and my wife is history. I want to send her to do the reporting. Can someone please list every page, how many copies, what needs my signature, and how much money? Did I forget anything?

Ok... I admit my age and laziness and health problems. We need someone that knows social media inside out and want to promote and handle customer requests

I have had to have my penile implant removed. I think it would be obvious to any doctor that I had one before. I can't find ANY company that will accept pre-esxisting condition. Im a screwed (or in this case, nover screw again)?

After my divorce I actually had to leave the country to cancel it. So a divorce does not cancel the visa. you cannot extend it anymore but for as long as its valid its good. At least that is my experience.
Thus the reason I want her to promise me we will stay in marriage until I can get retirement.

VISA is good.
Extension of stay for marriage may not be good.
I'd just go to Vietnam or Cambodia or the Philippines for 3 or 6 months of the year.
Plenty of places just as good as Thailand to visit (and no mad cow looking to kill you).
The other problem with is that I am a private scientist. How would I transport my gear? A shipping container?

Yeah, I get the whole visa until until the end of last renewal which in December. I have thought about other countries... but I can you for sure all of those countries, my meds for Parkinson's disease cost too much. I tried each of thse for a few months before marriage. I like Thailand. . I would never make it elsewhere be it cost or immensities.

As I am understanding, all my wife has to is go to immigration and they will make me leave the country. But I also read that in the case of divorce my visa is good until the end of the current visa. So, I am not only confused about that, but I also don't know what to for visa after the divorce. I am only 48.5 years old and I do NOT want to leave Thailand

That wont work as you need her for your next extension, she will have to come with you pics of you and her need to be there. So i doubt its an option.
But as I said if she wants a divorce she is entitled to one. You only seem to be worried about staying here not your wife. So its not as if you want her to stay for love or anything like that.
Well, first off you do not know our situation, yes,I agree, I need to be in Thailand is a higher priority than an a woman who is emotionally abusive and manipulative.
-
Let's hope she as as stupid as she acts and not tell immigration
-
300k? That is $10,000 US. On SSDI I do not thing that is an option
-
That is true but has nothing to do with topic.

More information here. https://www.siam-legal.com/legal_services/Thailand-Contested-Divorce-Faqs.php
If either party contests the divorce it must go to court.
OK. I am beginning to see it all... If I do not want to go to an amphur she must file with the courts and I can contest it. Yes?

<deleted>? I have Parkinson's so my wife can leave me? What kind of wife leaves a man who needs her care?
-
OP: Thanks. Yes, many of things apply. She was emotionally abusive for 1. I am more wondering if she can force me in some way to the Amphur or I can tell her "hell no. If you want a divorce, file suit for it." She will never afford it.

As far as I am aware, she only has to contact immigration and inform them the relationship is finished and you will have a problem, assuming the visa is based on marriage, you will have to find alternate visa classification.
She might do that. It is based on marriage. I have 1.5 years to go to get a retirement visa.

I do not have 400,000 baht. Each month I import about 80,000. What do I do?
