You would give them the SWIFT code for your bank here. They do not do domestic transfers.
Bangkok Bank only has one swift code, true? Also, which payment choice do I make? Should the payee be the local bank?

OK. But transferwise has no USA balances, so do I pick Thai? Then I instruct them to send it to my Thailand account but use the New York routing code?
-

a another country?
I am from USA. Transferwise is in Brittain. Does the money have to come from USA?

The proof of income using transfers into a bank from abroad went into effect in December of last year. This year they have allowed less than 12 months of transfers into the bank. In January the might also be flexible since the order was not released until January of this year.
What if I ATM some money for the bills and have my bank mail me a check for deposit, Joe?
How much do I need to show every month? The money has to be in a Thai bank?

Bangkok Bank will not accept transfers any more. Wells Fargo will not do international SWIFT

Why will immigration not allow the annual Social Security letter of income? What am I gonna do now and when the march 19 laws go into effect? The banks will not accept wire transfers any more. I doubt I will gat non-immigrant O extenson this month because all I can do is ATM. International SWIFT? My bank will not do.

Did that. Click continue and it just refreshes the page. I will keep trying.

Thanks. I just tried to set up a transferwise account and it will not allow my BKB account as a recipient.
So I call wells every month and ask for a SWIFT? What is that going to cost me?
-
Thanks. I will look in to those.

So what is the new procedure to import money to a Thailand bank for visa income proof?
-
FYI Wells Fargo actually lists my BKB acount in the same transfer list as my other Wells accounts when I am asked to pick an account to transfer to. Are you saying this month BKB quit accepting?

Wells Fargo does not use IAT transfer system so transfers to Thailand must use a third party like Transferwise or request a Swift transfer (wire.)
So how come it worked last month and Bangkok Bank still says they support it? I did nothing different than any other month.
-
That is what blows me away... it is through NYC branch. I hope it was just a glitch.

For what I think is about 2 years now, BKB has always accepted my USA transfers. Now I am on a deadline and need this month's money to transfer.
Wells Fargo says they approved it. Bangkok Bank is pulling it's "Give us 2 weeks and we can tell you the answer to anything you ask."
Anyone have ideas why it would be rejected by BKB this time?

If you cannot get proof of income from your embassy you must show 12 months of transfers into a Thai bank from abroad.
New rules that went into effect in December. Download: Amendment to police order 138/2557 Revising clauses 2.18 and 2.22 to include options for proof of income.
You best option may be start doing the transfers of at least 40k baht and then go out for a single entry non-o visa and then apply for a new extension. Starting again with new non-o visa would only require a couple of months of transfers.
Hey, Joe. Thanks. You always know.
I have been doing transfers for months, (probably a couple years). I think there was a month I did not need any money, a month where I just used the ATM, 2-3 months I had the paycheck direct deposited by the US Govt.
As most guys know, I am bed bound and don't get out much. I have 1 year and 7 days before I am 50 years old for retirement visa.
will you please be specific how to do the scenario you described? We have until the 26th.
-
So... since a couple months I used the ATM not tranfer, I am going to be rejected?
-
If you are finding it that easy in Bangkok, I am happy. If elsewhere, I believe you.

Thanks guys!

TV has been here a long time. these forums a amass with knowledge, good men who love to help a man, and quick to get detailed answers on ANY subject! My hat is off to you.
As proof the success, it lòoks like a redesign has been done to the site for the advertisers. That too is awesome.
I will admit, every different page I open, there is a lot of flashy stuff that seems to want to redraw itself 4 times (I have some of the fastest computers available and it is noticeable. C0an I live with that? ok. Yet the massive scrolling to get to a0ctual content is horrid. Where is my mailbox now?
