Is it possible that I booked a room on Booking.com, for $50, and the hotel will charge me only $37?

I got the reservation confirmation from the hotel and the room is the same one as I originaly booked.

Mate im going there friday,use the internet for information 1000-1100 kyat for $1us, Agoda has plenty of hotels etc. a bit more expensive than Thai prices but beer and smokes cheaper i will be glad to be out of Thailand,its run its race

To the OP, Opkhan national park is another nice place, with lots of water and a walking trail along cliffs. This place is relatively close to the city, on the south-west side.

Pha Dang national park, a bit north to Chiang Dao. The road is also beautiful.

It is unfortunate that you are sick from such a mundane piece of electronics. I avoid them all the time by not looking, by reading or putting headphones on and standing behind a pillar or sign. Meditation is an option which serves me well.

I don't know if "attacked" is a word I would use. I've never seen them as an adversary or potential attacker.

Twenty years ago, there was no BTS or MRT. People complained about gridlock, smog, heat, congestion and overcrowding. I actually find the BTS and MRT quite pleasant compared to the alternative.

The world doesnt revolve around me and while I respect the right of others to complain, comment or criticize, I prefer the kinder, gentler approach. For me that is Live and Let Live.

What's wrong with commercials on the BTS? Better than looking at graffiti or the dirt on the London Underground. Strange, but very "farang" thing to moan about.

What is wrong with complaining about it?

You pay to use the BTS to get from A to B. Why do you have to accept being accosted by advertising on your journey?

Maybe the additional revenues from advertisers helps keeps your fares lower? BTS is probably already subsidized without the ads.

Yes, BTS is already subsidized, but that many flashing screens popping out at once, in I don't know how many more stations, is a bit ridiculous.

I have no problem with the high altitude screens, on the buildings, because when I'm walking on the streets I don't have to look up to the screens. Even in the MRT stations, they are a bit aviated above the gates.

I could look the other way, but still...

This one was a great place. It is 800 Baht now. There were few bugs in my room, though, but I didn't make an issue out of it since I was there for few days.
I will come back there.

If you mean guesthouses, there are planty. I can recommand you 3 Anong (sam anong) Guesthouse, near the train station. 700 Baht, high qulity rooms.
