What advantages are there in having foreign marriage REGISTERED in Thailand? I have been here 30 years and started off getting yearly MARRIAGE visa before switching to RETIREMENT and never had to get it registered or even translated, original English copy was OK.

Last year I had my daughter added to my Bangkok Bank account. They had my daughter sign on the back page, you can only see her signature under the ultra violet light. Otherwise her name doesn't show up anywhere on the book. I did it this way to avoid having to open another account. I read that Krungsi Bank will also do this. That is where my 800K Imm account is. I was afraid to try but I don't see how Imm would know an extra name was added.

We had the exact same problem. After changing out the pressure switch, check valve we had same problem. Son in law dug up and replaced about 2-3 meters of PVC coming out of water pump. The PVC was clogged with mud and since he replaced PVC 6 months ago the pimp has been working fine. The water in our village can be really muddy when they have to replace pipes or other repairs. I have filter for the large storage tank but not when water comes direct from village.

I have Macrium and have it make an image automatically and save to my D/Data drive. Sometimes I have to go back to find a deleted file so I open Macrium and choose RESTORE/Explore choose the file you want to explore and Macrium will MOUNT the old image . You can the find the files you want and copy/paste where you want, then UNMOUNT image. Also you should use a flash drive to make a RECOVERY "disk" in case you cannot boot up and want to restore and old image.

Can she do it the same day that I apply for retirement extension. Like I mentioned it is a pretty long trip to Korat Imm. Can the local police do it or TM30 Imm only? Is there a form we can download and fill in beforehand? Thank you.

Last July I did my retirement visa and after having copies made and new forms to be signed I was sent to a small room next to the "90 day report" room. I was informed I had to pay a 900 baht fine, I thought it was a scam for verification of address or something and said I wasn't going to pay and wanted to speak with the boss. I was handed my papers and let into the main room. My daughter was me and removed the sticker "no TM30" from my papers and I took a number and was processed as usual with no mention of TM30. I have been in Thailand 30 years continuous and in the same house for 29 years. My adult daughter is listed on the house Tianban and has been acting as my proof of residence the last 10 years with no problem. After 29 years this is the first time I have been asked for a TM30. How can I get around this problem in time for my next retirement visa in July. Would I be the one or my daughter be the one applying online? Or is there an another way? I live a long way from Imm and once a year is more than enough forme.

You can join SDFCU by being a member of American Consumer Council which costs $8 for a year. As far as I know after you become a member of SDFCU they do not check to see if you renew membership in ACC. I joined SDFCU while living in Thailand and had no USA phone number or address. You can transfer money to Thailand cheaply by sending a DOMESTIC wire to Bangkok Bank NY for $6 if retired. BkBank NY can then forward to your local Bangkok Bank account. Or as I do and have WISE do a bank debit from SDFCU and then send the funds to your bank in Thailand.

Actually, I am thinking that I had infection first which caused imflammation, Then the lower eyelid swelled up causing the hair to rub the eye. I will see.

Thanks for the suggestions. The second doctor I saw was he St Mary's cataract doctor and he referred me to their plastic surgeon. Also I know Rutin is a world class eye clinic but going to Bangkok will be a last resort. UPDATE: Tuesday evening a place a 4cm piece of surgical tape just under my eyelid. This has the effect of slightly pulling the eyelid down and away from the eye. Wednesday morning: Good night sleep and all redness, mucus pain completely gone. Thursday morning: Still no redness or mucus. I don't notice the tape and it is barely visible. I plan to leave it on for about a week to insure swelling gone. I could not understand why two eye doctors could have completely different diagnoses. I think that maybe both were correct. First doctor saw infection then three weeks later possibly the infection caused swelling and eyelash to rub against eye.

I am 76 and have been having a problem with my left eye-soreness, redness, mucus, blurry vision, etc. I first went to BH and eye doctor prescribed antibiotic eye drops. Used as directed but no change. Next, tried doctor at St M and he said hair from lower eyelid rubbing eye and I need to see their plastic surgeon for operation. Meanwhile he prescribed wetting drops but they were no help.. 10 years ago I had the eyelid operation at BH by same doctor who now says infection. I am confused how 2 different doctors can diagnose so differently. So I want to see a 3rd doctor for another opinion. Please advise of a competent eye doctor in Korat or surrounding area.

Balance and Exp date OK, I think may be problem with Kasikorn. This morning I switched debit card from Kasikorn to SCB debit card but verification has still not been received from Amazon yet. When you first started using SCB debit card did you have to go to branch to enable International purchases? Thank you.

I just ordered some items from Amazon USA and used my Kasikorn debit card (Virtual web shopping credit card) but it has been refused although it has worked for many years until now. Is this just a Kasikorn problem or are other debit cards having problems with International devit card purchases?

Registered 13 Dec, got password and applied for 90 day extension. Today I checked status using Edge browser, within seconds of checking status (Korat Imm) I received email saying approved and giving me attached PDF file to print out with new report date to staple in my passport. So perhaps checking status online may trigger an email. BTW, old system never worked for me ever in 25 years.

I had the same problem, worked for a long time, then would refuse to connect. I read that the app will not work with WiFi. So I turned off my WiFi and turned on mobile data, then everything worked as before and I did not have to register.

If husband married Thai wife in the USA is the marriage recognized in Thailand if never registered at Amphor?

Yesterday went to Central Plaza in Korat for 1st Pfizer jab. When finished I received date and ticket for 2nd jab in 3 weeks. Question that I forgot to ask is do I need to go to ground floor first or can I got directly to 4th floor for processing for 2nd jab?

Peel and enjoy I tried every method to end up with eggs that were easy to peel, this is the only one that worked, Biggest mistake is starting to cook the eggs in cold water. And if eggs are put into boiling water direct from fridge they will crack so take out eggs beforehand.

I think I made a mistake by selecting Khamthaleso Hospital as my preferred destination. Had my daughter ask about expat vax at Khamthaleso Hospital and NOBODY knew anything.

Are the expats getting vaccinated at Central Korat the ones that chose Maharat Hospital as their preferred vaccination location or are the people getting notified also from other areas of Korat?

Like you, I received an instant response (2 min) exactly the same as yours including thanking me for my patience. So it is a canned response and I doubt if there was enough time to confirm anything. I selected a small hospital outside of Korat and NOT Maharat Hospital so maybe I will receive notice in the future. BTW my daughter checked with local hospital I selected and the have no vaccine currently and have never heard of any news to receive any in the future.
