Maybe it's because both of you are dyslexic or have ADHD or just don't like reading previous posts or insist on having your questions answered personally.

So what is the previos post, doctor?

  3. Hello Community,

End of 2013 I opened my Thai company and did everything by the books. I got 49% shares and was declared as the Director. Since this year I have my WP. (The two Thai partners are family members)

This is my first company in my life and to keep costs at a minimum I am doing basically everything by my self. Except for Accounting/Book keeping and handling the renew department etc..

Don't get me wrong, I am not trying to avoid tax payments. They are very low anyway compared to Europe. But this is not my point.

What bothers me is that as a Director of a "Thai Co., Ltd." I can't get a decent B-Visa to legally stay in this country and do my Job. They want I rent a office, place the 4 Thai stuff member behind a desk, all in the same uniform (me too) and take pictures. What the hell is wrong with this people? I told them I won't do it due to safe my monthly costs. I can do everything by myself and working from my home is totally fine for me. When I have to travel I do travel.

So the best way for me is to go back to my home country and apply for the B-Visa which I did before many times. I get it in 20min. Very easy.

The only advantage is (I think) to get the B-Visa issued within Thailand is that you don't need to leave the country every 90 days. But since I do travel at least once a month it makes no difference for me where my B-Visa is issued.

I am just saying it is totally ridiculous that not even with the WP comes together a decent Visa. This (again) has to be taken care of separately (and of course) in the most difficult way this bureaucracy can think of.

This country has some issues. (Unfortunately) sad.png

    Just my 2 cents.

  4. I read the following line on TV regarding Residency :

Approval of a residence permit (payable on receipt of residence book) – 191,400

Is that really 191,400 Baht ?

Why is this so expensive? other countries dont charge big bucks for residency or is this figure incorect ?

Approval is the problem, not the fee.

  5. To be expected that some of them are good but also to many badge flashes who tarnish the others. The police do not give protection even if the conflict ends up in soi 9 police station where the FVP will not even open their mouths to victims to help, they are official told not to get involved in jet ski scams. Thai police do not get involved either, all to scared to involved. Witnessed it quite a few times. As I understood it volunteer police have no powers unless accompanied by a real member of the police.

Give them the chance to harass other farangs with car checks in the middle of the night they que up to do it.

Really? You are not kidding me. I really have to spend a weekend in pattya.

  6. Its about 34,000 baht. They don't have a particular policy as long term people pay monthly, but they also offer a childcare day service where 'holiday' makers pay at the end of the holiday.

She has just sent me this 'i have filed a report, P.Chet (Head of police) has told me to tell you you have 2 days to pay before he contacts his friend in the British Embassy and makes a 'big problem' for you. He said you would be arrested at the airport by immigration and brought to Koh Samui where you will face court. If you do pay, which we are all hoping you will, this report will be disguarded and you will have no further problems'

I can't prove I've already paid. Im on Samui until the 28th May, then i go to Bangkok (with my kids and husband) and fly home on the 31st May. She also sent a scanned copy of what i guess is a police report. Its all in Thai, although i can make out our names…….

If this 'friend' in the british embassy is contacted, will we be arrested at the airport? I really don't know what to do, as if we pay her again it will wiiout all our funds for the end of our trip.

The scan you mentioned, is it hand written or print?
