  1. Just remember the old saying "you get what you pay for"..............12 pages and assuming you will need updates or have it so you can maintain it relatively easy yourself..........as suggested, look at previous work completed, get references and follow up on them before committing any cash. 200,000 does seem excessive but only you know exactly what that entailed and you have comparison quotes which is good.

Websites can be idiot simple all the way up to professional all singing all dancing..........Good luck and hope you get what you need without spending a fortune.

  2. I recently upgraded from Vista to windows 7, I want to turn off the animation when different windows open, anyone know how to do it please ?

i have looked through control panel etc but cant find where to turm off this animation which is kind of stuttering and slow, never had any issues before.

  3. In my experience the passport is used as a form of Identiy check and nothing more. Just like the Thais have their ID card we ferang have to use our passport. There should be no issue about your work permit as the account is already in place, all they probably want will be proof of ID which your passport provides. You simply explain if asked that you have a NEW passport and take the old one with you just in case.

    Should be no problems

  4. It all depends on what the rate Paypal itself uses to calculate how much Baht you actually send.

Best to do a "dry run" with Paypal by only taking it to the "Review your payment and send" page

If you scroll down a little it tells you the PayPal Conversion Rate they apply to the transaction.

Like i say, nothing to do with the Thai banks.

    Penkoprod

As stated above its nothing to do with the Banks, it all down to what Paypal imposes on the day and you can bet the rate will be lousy !

  5. The confusion here in my opinion is travelling and emigrating, IF you were trying to emmigrate to say Austalia you would have a BIG problem, travelling is not a problem and the financial status is not questioned for travel only for permenant stay applications ie emmigrating to certain countries.

The Citizens advice people will tell you that as they would not encourage people to run away from their responsibilities/debts but stay and sort it out, which is easy for them to say but not always easy dependant on your circumstances and maybe some heavy duty collectors are after you.

You should be fine, get the ticket and take off.

  6. 1) Yes you can use a Thai SIM card but I wouldnt recommend it as it is VERY expensive to do so.

    2) Thai Smart phones are usually unlocked and can take ANY SIM CARD ANYWHERE.

    3) yes , you can I recommend Vodaphone.

Good luck and safe travels.:jap:..........I know just how you feel

  7. Having a seminar ! another pathetic Public promotion to save face and look as though they are doing something. Why not do it properly from the start, introduce "special" licences for passenger carrying vehicles, make them ALL re-take a stiffer driving exam to get the licence, make the awareness of public safety and responsibility part of that exam. Get the Police to actually enforce the new licence at every conceivable opportunity and make them give REAL penalties like loss of licence not 100 baht for the noodles.. Perform regular and random tests for drug and alchohol abuse. Then they maight start to make a difference. AND SAVE LIVES !

  8. For such a small amount either get it from the ATM or go inside the bank and draw it over the counter assuming you have a visa type card for that account. If you cant/dont have either I guess its time to change your bank or open another account somewhere that has better facilities.

If you can do ATM use AEON they dont charge the 150 baht fee other do.

  9. Trying to get money into a Thai account by routing it through Paypal is in my opinion stupid and extremely expensive. You would have to pay fees on the money going in to paypal, fees for the conversion in currency and then probably another set of fees for it being received by the Thai bank as an International receipt.

You state Santander, is your account actually in Spain or in another country, UK for example ?
