    I dont "know" for sure, but I would have thought that if the name and number doesnt match, the receiving bank would not process it and return it. Otherwise whats the point of putting any name at all.

    There are many mai services that you can redirect your mail to.They will scan and email the contents if required.You leave your Instructions with them and they will handle it accordingly. Very simple and easy solution.

    Perfectly normal. The system will show it departing Thailand.Then there will be nothing until it has cleared Customs and re-enters the mail system with Auspost.Usual timings is 14 days ish.

    Depends on where and what. The rural farmers, I suspect tradition and just doing what they've always done passed on from father to son etc. The more hi-so, probably power and position and CASH !

    Life here is far far better in many aspects than the UK that's for sure. For me 8/10 here and the UK well, the UK I knew has long gone so doesnt even rate a number now, but 18 years ago, wouldve given it 5 at best.
